You have to decide if you are going to be going to CC and transferring (easiest route at this point) or applying as a Freshman and giving up your year of college. For international students in this situation we suggest CC and then transferring!

UC primarily focus on grades from your sophomore and junior years. However, they do look at all four years to get a comprehensive view of your academic progress compared to other applicants. Freshman and senior years are also important as they show your transition into high school and how you finish your high school career. As for the final decision, it may vary. Typically UC schools send out admission decisions in March. After receiving your final transcript in June, they review it to ensure you're maintained a good academic standing. If everything is in order, your admission will be finalized.

You should have a school portal where you can request it. Or you can request them to be sent to their colleges. Same thing goes for CC! You would need to get it sent to your colleges. For most state schools, you do not need to send the transcripts now, only if you get in and decide to go. For privates, it is safest to send now

@@collegeadmissionsecrets you're pushing an organization that encourages students (and their parents) to sacrifice their time and money on AP classes that don't actually reflect real college, all to prep them for these universities that care more about their image than actual education. Stop encouraging students to pursue Ivy Leagues or whatever other stuck up colleges out there, and instead go for smaller schools that offer a better value to students. And also don't make College Board seem like this great organization that cares about education, they really don't. They take advantage of underprivileged students by selling them a flawed dream.

i understand your concern 1000%. We always encourage our students to do research and find a school that's right for them and a good fit for them whether that be a UC/IVY anything. We don't necessarily push only Ivy schools, we work with our students to find a school that fits all the criteria for them and their families!

That's a great question! Realistically most UCs will NOT make it to the alternate major. For more context: The alternate major is there in the case that the admission readers go through the entire primary major first and there would still be spots left at the schools. Realistically, this is no longer the case at most UCs. Some of the UCs that might consider this would be schools that admit by major, such as UCI or UCSB.

Great question! You only can add a pdf if they have a document upload section for like a resume or other doc. Most colleges do not have this ability.

@@coachtonyle I only have a draft of a first draft of my common app except it’s 800 words rn. Idk if you would want that but I can still send it over. I think it would make an amazing video if you walk through multiple essays and compare them in terms of strengths and weaknesses.

Making it to the Semifinalist round will not sway colleges as there are 15,000 finalist chosen each year. From there they choose 2,500 to receive a scholarship. It would be at the Finalist level that it is given some credit
