    Why she remind me of Lana del rey?. The awkwardness,her eyes movement, and the way she spoke. Akward but sweet.

    "Have you lived up to your potential"- ARE YOU KIDDING CHARLIE ROSE? You are a fool. She was the best and her fans LOVE HER not you. Silly man. Karen Black rocked! Have loved her since I was tiny & stayed up late to watch her movies! RIP lovely lady. We miss you!

    Charlie rose annoys the shit outta me...letterman too! they always get in the way of the flow of the interview. just ask a question, shut the fu*k up, listen, respond briefly...and repeat!

    Rose sucks...the way he interrupts her...as if he cant wait until she gets to the end of her thoughts instead of listening & being genuinely interested in what this great actress has 2 say. douche bag.

    I've always described her as "Irresistibly eccentric." She was absolutely one of a kind. I miss her terribly.

    My first and everlasting memory of her was trilogy of terror! (A roll she starred with a doll!)That woman was amazing.i saw her in easy rider and 5 easy pieces (2 of her great parts) but trilogy (bite bite bite bite) is etched forever in my mind! I loved her ❤ and truly miss her.😢

    She is just absolutely forthright and genuine. Deflects some of the garbage that interviewer slings at her. And then turns it back on him to try to re-establish their equality.

    is she comedic ironic,or full of herself......??

    • @nspector
      @nspector 5 років тому

      +brainsareus I think neither, actually. I know why you're asking, of course, but I feel like she's just being matter-of-fact about the IQ stuff and the writing talent. Somehow, from her, I don't take it as full of herself. I don't know....she gets away with it. Somehow.

      @@nspector I think she's very uncomfortable with Rose. He's keeping her at arm's length, and she's chafing under the strain.

    • @nspector
      @nspector 5 років тому

      +Big Valley Unhinged, you think? I don't take her that way. Something happened during the clip they showed....it upset her or made or emotional, and that was unusual to see in an interview. (She does "come back," though. In the second part of this interview, she quite present.) And of course she has a certain eccentric quality. But I don't take her as unhinged.

    • @Job.Well.Done_01

      Not her best shot at being interviewed. The more I watch her, especially here, she was a very cunning woman - highly perceptive and intelligent - manipulative and seductive. She was holding in some demons. Either on prescriptions or had good therapy. There’s a show on Netflix called Schitt’s Creek and the character “Moira Rose” brilliantly portrays the dysfunctional actress caricature. Fragile, brainwashed by their own world, insecure but insistent that ‘talent’ alone has gotten them along more than their beauty. My two cents.

    Since this fine actress passed away I was amazed to see that some people implied that she succeeded as an actress 'despite her looks!.....when anyone can see that she was an unique and strikingly beautiful women and extremely talented as well. It appears that her individuality and independent nature which damaged her career in the late 1970s has still not been forgiven. It was distressing to discover that Miss Black was broke when she died, she didn't play the game but she payed for it..R.I.P.
