Two Wheel Ordeals
Приєднався 8 тра 2013
Adventure, Enduro and all kinds of shenanigans preferably involving 2 wheels.
Family and friends riding and having a laugh.
Not taking ourselves too seriously.
Making memories.
Just a hack with a camera.
If you see us on the trails, stop and say G'day.

First test and fails of the DJI Neo following on Enduro singletrack
Hunter brought his drone out to give it a test following dirtbikes on singletrack.
It seemed to have great potential.
We were impressed and thought we recorded some epic footage.
Sadly we watched some reviews that claimed you could record good footage with the protection cover left in place.
We discovered that it wasn't the case.
A lot of great following video was tainted by the cover.
Oh well, we live and learn.
Hopefully some great vids to come in the future.

3 Day High Country last ride for '24

A Victorian High Country ride from Gembrook to Porepunkah and return. Didn't get much footage and a camera mount mixup had a lot of unusable clips. Didn't do much with this edit. Just short and sweet raw clips. Enjoy, we did. My 701 and 2 x 690s.

Just an easy trail and gravel Adventure ride to Jamieson, Victoria for an overnight stay. I was on my 701, we had a T7, 350exc and a XR/XL 650 hybrid on this ride.

A hot day forecast so we kicked off early to explore a local gully track. Enjoyed a nice rock staircase. I need to improve my log game. A couple a spills that I'm still feeling.
Short singletrack in the rain.

We got out for a short morning ride in not great conditions. The afternoon was great but we were restricted with time. It had been over a month for Hunter and he was keen to ride in whatever weather. The majority of the rain soaked footage was too blurry to use.
Return to Singletrack. Back on the 2 stroke.

The boys, the favourite riding area, sunny weather. It was a little warm and very humid with some tracks quite slippery from the previous days rain. We had one guest who hadn't ridden many of the tracks so he was in for some fun. My GoPro was having battery issues. I've thrown this edit together quickly.

The final leg. A shorter day. Leaving Bonnie Doon Motel we did a few trails after an earstart to "eventually" get into Alexandra for a late breakfast. Then past Murrundindi, Toolangi and Pauls Range for a drop back into Yarra Glen. Was a great ride with a terrific crew. I'll be back.

Bright evening left us a little less bright in the morning. Tired and hungover thankfully it was an easier day even though we had some kilometres to cover. Any day on the bike is a good day. Sore heads aside it was a great day out. A couple had to leave midway which saw 6 of us rolling into Bonnie Doon for a comfy bed and a deserved rest.

Day 4. We leave Dargo after breakfast at the general store, ham and salad rolls packed for lunch. A long day today with Crooked River multiple crossings, some big climbs and descents. A visit to Blue Rag and a fast run down into Bright.

Day 3 of the High Country ride. Setting off from Licola Caravan Park in cold and wet conditions. The weather wasn't great for capturing clear footage but the rain blur on the camera was clearer than the vision through the goggle lense. We had a bit shorter ride and no lunch stop as everyone was keen to get to the Pub at Dargo.

Day 2. Jamieson to Licola. Some big climbs and fun river crossings. Really felt like high country adventure. A couple of bikes drowned but the All In Crew had them running in no time. We set off from Jamieson with Lunch at WoodsPoint Pub. Rolling into Licola for a relaxing swim in the Macalister River while sipping a cool ale... or two.

Day 1 of a 6 day unsupported dirtbike adventure ride with All In Dirtbike Adventures. We set off from a private property in Yarra Glen. Riding through Toolangi across to Marysville for lunch. From there we made our way up towards Big River and over Mt Terrible and down into Jamieson.

Family camping trip to Running Creek, Howqua Hills over Melbourne Cup weekend. Weather was warm, trails were dry and dusty. Some cruisy trailriding with Hunter (350exc) and Terry (WR450) and my TE300 with its new livery.

Real footage, thank you guys, I needed this drone for a similar and special project but definitely I won't get it. Keep up that combination of trails and raw footage.
I read that there may already be a neo 2 in the works. Without the cover the footage is ok, but the amount of collisions and crashes we expect to put it through exposed the gimble/camera will get damaged. We are looking into an aftermarket cover that is clear and has improved optics. Still some more experimenting with height and distance following but it is limited for technical singletrack and limited by speed on open terrain.
Some of that wasn’t for beginners
No, there were a few tracks that I would advise beginners to bypass via the dirt road. Originally there was a novice coming, they cancelled so we added in a few extras.
I've done that hill on Scrubby Ck in the dry & it was a belter then, top effort getting up in the pissing rain. Got caught out on Ortons Track one trip in similar conditions.
We did Ortons on a supported trip early this year. I got stuck in the dry trying to get up the steep side. Russell got my bike up.
what tyers are you and hunter running
@@jacksharp-j2h We both have Shinko 216 fronts. Hunter has a Shinko 525 Cheater rear, semi gummy rear. I'm running an IRC JX8 very soft gummy rear.
@@dewimtbmoto i run the same rear tyer as hunter
@jacksharp-j2h they are a good allrounder and last longer than full gummys
@@dewimtbmoto and they do even on rocky terrain like south oz
Definitely a wet one today
Look. Tricky good video
Have enjoyed this series of vids. Good riding footage, good part of the world, only the odd bit of chat, and the only music is that of an exhaust
You guys seem like a tight riding team, noice!
so hard @@
AT 23.30🤣. Adventure bikes wailing away trying to get up a hill. This is why things like EXC's rule, any bike can ride along the easy bits but as soon as it gets a little tough the enjoyment evaporates. Ride the enduro bikes and expand your horizons tenfold. Good vids.
Yes, they were lucky it wasn't wet. They wouldn't have got out of the valley. 😊 We were going to help them when we noticed they got going.
did you have supprt cars?
@rohanmckenzie1114 No, unsupported ride. We carried all our own spares, clothes etc. Stays were at Pubs or cabins so no bedding or food except snacks or lunch. All except 1, had oversized tanks for range. The 1 bike that didn't carried a 7 litre fuel bladder for the longer stretches. All In Dirtbike Adventures run regular supported overnight trailrides over the cooler months. www.allindirtbikeadventures.com.au/
Thanks for takin us along an great to see the greenery growing back after the fires. Life getting back to normal.❤❤🙏🙏👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🏍️🏍️
@paulcoverdale8312 there are still some elevated areas where the trees are dead and won't recover but the undergrowth is finally starting to get a hold. Hopefully enough to stabilise and nourish the soil allowing trees to grow once again. It's a fantastic place to visit. I can only hope that our children continue to get the same opportunities.
@ yeah, I’ll go with that too.
Sounds like the chains are feeling it as well 😅
Tires, chains, sprockets, brake pads. My chain was oem and this trip has finished it off. Last year one bike had a countershaft leak bad enough that the oil mixed with very dusty conditions accelerated the wear badly enough it ran out of adjustment. Links had to be removed and countershaft sproket replaced. Definitely the kind of trip that rewards good maintenance prior. 😉
ktm orgy
That was mental. Well done.
Great video mate, what bikes were they?
KTM 500s (x6) KTM 690, Husky 501 and Daniel Milner joined us for a day on a loaner KTM 890R. That man rides an 890 like it's an Enduro bike.
@@dewimtbmoto haha what a legend. Thanks!
That’s more dirt bike riding than adventure bike 😊
There were a few easy flat dirt roads linking tracks but I didn't record those bits
how was the ride and you should also get a drift for the Camra quality
@jacksharp-j2h good cruisy high country style tracks. Camera quality is fine, it's the editing and uploads that dumb it down, as I do it all from mobile phone.
@@dewimtbmoto ok
5:37 these tracks look awesome!!
Jim found those little gems. Telecommunications access trail I believe.
sup dawg
Nice work Hunter! Old man ain't too bad either.
@skeres01 Just like MTB, he is learning at a rapid rate and won't be long before he leaves Dad behind. 😁
Mosciski Course
did you and hunter have fun
Always. He is getting quite accomplished and is keen to try harder stuff.
