I've had several questions over part 2 of the PSS777 series on how to enter the company route so here's a short tutorial on how it's done.

This video will demonstrate how VNAV will behave when it meets an FMC altitude constraint while climbing.
WSSS (day)

WSSS (Singapore Changi Airport), showing the new Terminal 3 building. In case you're wondering about the FS segment at the end, that was added to fit the video to the music, and also because the original video had no parking segment.

Boeing 777 GMCS simulation in FS2004
Paine Field, Everett Wa., home of the Boeing 747, 767, 777, 787!
wow!
I probably use one thrust for make 180 degress... So if i turn from left to right, i open power for engine number one and engine number two still idle , is that legal?
Yay! Thank god Boeing actually made a tutorial!
awesome video
I was looking for copper and found gold
i dont get the artificial horizon on my Left ND :/ and nothing on the Nav display. idk why :S
Excellent series, very interesting! Matthew
hi firstly great vid but i have a question after takeoff when i engage the ap the aircraft pitche sup and down all over the place and the autothrottle is stuck full on no matter what i do can you help?
Boeing has GMCS, Airbus has TACS.
The fun comes with the -300.
@sealalula probably, there very similar geomertrically, except the -300ER has longer wingspan
@jackop9111 same here did u ever get it to work? i cant get mines to work its just black
I thought you start on the right first.
but how do you ils land i need a tutorial
all the buttons in the pss 777 are non working buttons ! i can;t click on them. and when i press on set , the box is empty ... thanks
@MrInNoVa333 1. Were you stuck at a CDU waypoint altitude constraint? If so, push the altitude selection knob to delete the constraint and continue the climb. 2. If you've dialed a lower altitude into the Alt window, change it to your cruise level, then push the altitude selector knob to resume climb.
@TheLamerTM agree... airbus overhead is much cleaner. but boeings just look better
@fawii - hope these answer A1. these are pre-stored / programmed routes in the FMC, used by airliners for frequent routes. So pilots do not enter plans again and again A2. It is the alternate Destination airport ,incase of Diversion. This is required to calculate fuel to reach ALTN A3. There are different navigation RF devices ,like generally NDB (5 letters) , VOR (3 letters) and Airports (4 letters). These are defined by ICAO or IATA. It is independent of the Aircraft manufacturer.
Hey, I have 777 professional and always start from cold and dark. However, the set-up panel (shift+8 command) doesn't come on. Any help please?
Q1 How can you know ur SID and STAR? Q2 What is a WXR +1 +5 0 ?
Q1 what is a company route? Q2 what is ALTN ?? Q3 I know that the waypoints contain 5 letters, but actually I saw some way points in Boieng FMC and Airbus contain 3 letters or 4 ?? why??
@TheLamerTM you are right i am having the same problem been on the a330/340 for 4 months now and switching to boeing is really hard !!!
@TheLamerTM Glad you find the videos helpful. I'm quite the opposite in that I've resisted flying the Airbuses as I can never get my head around the MCDU, MCP, flight control laws etc. Everything on the 777 is so logically laid out. As one pilot said "it was designed by pilots for pilots".
@tiburcioman It was. Unfortunately the autoland on the PSS777 has been programmed to plant the aircraft firmly on the runway, unlike in real life.
sounded like a hard landing
@JKostlin It's a route I pre-programmed into the FMC. See the company route tutorial video on my channel.
@Dundullla Click on the bottom right corner of the CDU screen. A gray box with "KB" will appear. Now you can type FMC entries using the keyboard.
so interesting..thank you!
@shotokantkic If your question hasn't already been resolved earlier, you'll need to install two fonts (Baloo and IRIS) that can be downloaded from the 777 Professional support on the Just Flight website.
WMKK SIDs/STARs are already included in the aircraft. The WSSS SIDs/STARs are also included, but are the old versions, not the RNAV ones in use now.
Where did you got SIDSTARS for Changi(WSSS) and WMKK? i couldn't find it!.
@lixbeyond It's a semi-custom soundpack I made by modifying a GE90 soundset (from avsim) with sounds from an actual GE90 equipped 777 flight deck. I've not uploaded it to avsim though.
Really really nice!!! What is the title of the song? it sounds like enya
Excellent-Excellent and Excellent. Finally I got what I was looking for. Thanks !!!!!
@tprjof: Use FS Recorder. It allows you to create custom views.
@jimfwh oops yeah my bad im thinking of 747 and even then its you extend to 1 extra on descent my bad
Nope, this is the correct procedure-verified with a pilot and also the following video: watch?v=2JoUn8yRUMs
It's in the tutorial video. Select the ILS in the NAV RAD CDU page, then arm APP on the MCP.
hang on you know the flaps? well retracting them i thought you went one below... i.e. as it passes through 15 on the speed tape set flaps 5 and as it passes through 5, set flaps 1 etc.
On the ground, both the control wheel trim switches and alt pitch trim levers move the stabilizer directly so either can be used to set takeoff trim. During flight, the control wheel switches are used to change the trim reference airspeed (but does not move the stabilizers directly unless in secondary or direct mode).
Really awesome!
You can also do it by selecting a lower MCP altitude and pushing the altitude selector knob. This accomplishes the same thing, but is seldom done in real life.
The PSS is the best for now. Rumors have it that PMDG is working on a 777 as well, but nothing concrete.
I have the PSS 757. Does this plane have those "bugs" on it. If you know what I mean. For example, if you replay your landings, the GPWS says DON"T SINK. Even though you are not.
how did you give the passengers a welcome address??!! pls help....thx
question : does this pss 777 works out for FSX ? coz I can only find links related to FS 2004 ! Thank you !
This is the PSS 777 aka 777 Professional
This is wilco right? Do you have it for FSX?
Where you got this 777 from wilco?
