Great idea , I'm going to do this on my cargo trailer , well done !
Thats funny, I was searching for a tent for my beaver tail on my trailer and came across this. I did the same thing to mine.
Which stabilizer jacks did you go with?
PEAKTOW PTJ0621 Telescoping Swing Down Trailer RV Camper Stabilizer Jack 1000 Lbs Support Capacity with Handle and Mounting Screws 2PK
Appreciate you.
I thought about this idea. However, I opted for Air Craft cable (Same that is used on the roll up door) heavy carabiners and turnbuckles. Attached to the rod bearing plate down to the door. So no matter how unlevel the ground is, the ramp/deck is always 90 degrees to the trailer frame. And it is easily removed, with the carabiner, to return to motorcycle load mode. I see this is 3 years later, how are these legs working for you?
Hi Rob, do you recall if you considered screwing the jacks directly to the hollow steel tubing, and if so why you rejected this idea?
I did, but decided I wanted them farther apart for stability. The outside ones would have interfeared with the door locks so I did it that way. Thanks for watching and asking. I hope you liked it.
Awesome, thx.
i wonder if you could install them on the top side and screw through the metal frame which would hold the load better.
It would probably be better support, yes. The only issue I see with that is when you open the door to load a bike or quad, the ramp would not be able to go all the way to the ground because of the jacks.
@@fullthrottl1 good point mate. Then I am thinking drilling through the side frame but about a foot away from top frame . Do you think I can aim without opening the plywood just following the existing screws on the side?
@@minthos4045 maybe, I like the fact that it’s 3/4” plywood and to add another piece to fill the gap gave lots of support. Removing the plywood really wasnt a big job. You might want to insulate it while you’re at it. Let me know what you decide to do. I’m curious.
Thanks for sharing. I am about to convert my 6 x 12 enclosed cargo trailer . Thank you for the ideas and suggestions. I was looking for ideas on how to support the rear ramp door in a way that it could be used as a patio deck and that is what led me to your video.
I hope it was helpful. I did one on the ramp door jacks to use it as a patio too. I was wondering if you found that one too.

Great video, what jacks do you use to level the cargo door.
That is one clean looking bike. Love it.
Thanks 👍
Good deal. And love the bikes. 👍👍
What type of water pump did you use?
I sold the trailer and don’t recall, but it was something like this one. DC HOUSE 33-Series 12V Diaphragm Water Pump with Pressure Switch 3.0GPM 45 PSI, 12 Volt Self Priming Water Pressure Pump for RV Marine Yacht Caravan a.co/d/5uQSmuV. Hope that helps.
What did you push to active learning mode....................
The selection button in the middle.
I can send a pic if you give me an email or text number. Don’t know how to attach a pic here.
Is there anything that stops the feet from sliding out?
The adjustment on them is spring loaded and they stay in place no problem.
Heater works well, but we don’t really use it much.
How has the water heater held up so far?
Very Nice!
Thank you! I appreciate that!

Nice Job.... I am in the process of converting an 8x16 v-nose cargo trailer into an RV and Mobile Sign Shop. I am just starting the walls and cabinet construction. I just sold a 15-passenger shuttle bus that I lived in for 3 years and traveled out west during the winters. I had to sell the shuttle bus because I purchased a large format color printer to make contour cut decals/stickers, koozies, t-shirts, magnetics, banners, mousepads, etc. The large format color printer would have taken up a lot of storage space so I needed to get something bigger. I did a complete conversion series on the shuttle bus from the ground up and now am doing a new series on the cargo trailer conversion. They are on my YT channel.
What kind of bike is that in the background?
My motorcycle don’t stay like that stops all the time the guy install a new carburetor probably he didn’t how to work in motorcycles
I just bought one for $1800 just with 800 miles I don’t know if that’s a good deal or not first bike ., who make the engine?

Tell me about the screens please!
Good job but you need a lapel microphone to capture everything you're saying. It was difficult to hear wht you said when you walked away from the camera. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it!
I've watched dozens of DIY cargo trailers into campers. I've custom ordered a 7x12x7, insulated one that I'm going to leave as is for this first year just using my camping cot and gear. No custom interior other than insulated and window. I thought I'll see how I like it this year as "empty" and if I see any good ideas on UA-cam DIY maybe I'll start customizing my interior. Not that I see yours, I really like the front section with the "bathroom" and "kitchen" How are you like that part of it?
Hello, I like the open area back of the “v”. I still have the option of using it for moving cargo if I want. I also like to bring a motorcycle on some of our adventures and there is lots of room to load and unload the bike with this setup. I was just wondering if you are getting a ramp style cargo door or not. Thanks for asking. Enjoy your new trailer.
@@fullthrottl1 hey. Actually getting barn doors as the ramp would be something I most likely will never use. I’m also going to be putting my kayak and mountain bike in there when I head out for the weekend.
Nice trailer!
Thank you!
Amazing design on the enterior, still looks as if there is a roomy feel.. With options for future hauls.
Thank you. Glad you liked it.
I would suggest that you could take your wire shelf and invert it and suspend it from the ceiling. Then the edge would keep your baskets from falling off. That's what I did in my trailer. R
That’s a great idea! We usually just set them on the floor when travelling. Thanks for the suggestion.
Awesome, thanks!
Looks really good .. Simple & ✅️ All the boxes .. well done 😊
Thank you!
Hi can you help me find an old stock of beluga signal lights?
Sorry, I don’t have any contacts for those bikes or parts.
I think it's all about what u like. Looks great the way it is. I have just started my cargo trailer and u have given me alot of ideas. Love the flathead! I chose a cargo trailer so I could take my bike too. Happy trails! Amy
Thanks for the comment. It really is about what you like. That’s the beauty of doing a cargo trailer/camper for sure. Enjoy.
Would it b OK to ask u questions?
Certainty! I might be a little slow to respond, but always do. 😀
Where did u purchase ur windows and I did not see where u installed for shorepower. I may have missed in previous videos..
And thanks!
Nice set-up
Thank you!
How did you do electric I'm fixing to do mine
Hi, there is no footage of the actual wiring of the camper. I wish I had done that too. Its an important detail in a build to share. All I can tell you is that all the wiring is in the front V of the trailer. Three plugs, one for the fridge, one on the counter, and one up top for the microwave. Power comes up through the floor with a simple plug outside by the front battery box. I installed an inverter and a smart battery charger for when we are plugged into a power source. There is a little chat about it around the 15 to 16 minute section of the video if your interested in a visual bit. Thanks for your interest and good luck with your build. Please subscribe to check out some other videos I have posted on the building of this project. You may find them useful or at least give you some ideas to toss around,
Does rain or the Elements ruin the water heater at all
We don’t have a lot of use for hot water in the camper because of the one small sink we have. When we are at a campground , we use their facilities. On the back-forty, we use that heater to shower. When the weather is rainy, we put it under the trailer on a couple of pieces of wood to keep it off the ground. That way I don’t have to disconnect anything. If I had a higher demand for hot water, I would probably make an open faced box to keep it out of the elements. You’ve made a very good point about the location. Thanks for the question.
Thanks for the video. I have the same legs coming in the mail. Exactly what I needed to see
That’s great to hear. I could have insulated the door at time if I was thinking about it. The plywood is pretty thick though. Thanks for viewing.
@@fullthrottl1 when I was insulting my ramp door i accidentally let it go, it sprang back and slammed closed lol. My heart sank for a second. All good though
@@bobbymcgee901 glad it worked out. There is a lot of tension on those cables. I actually removed one for easier access and reduced tripping hazard. It still works fine with just one.
This is pretty darned wonderful! It has everything one would need. The splashes of color are the icing on the cake!
Thank you!
Great work! Love the separation of the bathroom and the kitchen with that partition. Might steal that idea for my next build.
Thanks Chris, it’s great to share ideas here.
I have it's twin, just listed for sale on FB marketplace..5000 miles.. I've owned mine for 30 years
How's it run on the highway? What's it like for power and any engine work done?
It’s stock to the best of my knowledge. I didn’t do the motor, it was ready to go when I bought that motor. No safety with the straight pipes here so not on road yet. Running around the back forty, it’s pretty snappy, but I haven’t had it out of second gear yet. There is a road race track nearby that lets you rent the track. Next spring we’ll have a little fun with it.
Nice. So you bring along another cot for her to sleep on? Just being funny there. Pretty slick setup
I love how you utilized the v for the kitchen and bathroom
Thank you.
Nice pool noodle but on mine in case you do that I took out spring cables and replace it with a winch .hook at end of the door.I used to have a sws and now I reconvert my trailer to travel need to be as light weight as possible. I will look on your progress.
I’d like to see a picture of it.
Minus the furniture and additional accessories, can I ask how much you paid for this conversion and material? I’m a College student and this build is simple yet clean. Looks great!
Thanks for your interest. If you scroll down a few of the comments, you’ll find a fairly detailed answer to your question. Hope that helps.
Thank you so much. Safe travels!
