Review of the Maypole MP7423 4 amp smart battery charger. Any good?
Переглядів 3 тис.Рік тому
Available on Amazon here amzn.to/3kqjm4L The Maypole MP7423 has proved to be an excellent 12V battery charger/maintainer over the 3 years I've owned a couple of these. The screen is particularly useful as it shows the battery voltage when you first connect it to your battery, so you don't need to use a tester or multi-meter first.
Duplex scanning on a HP OfficeJet Pro 9010e all-in-one printer
Переглядів 17 тис.Рік тому
This video is to show how the HP OfficeJet Pro 9010e does duplex (two-sided) scanning. It wasn't that clear on first use and the spec sheets don't make it clear either. I use Chromebooks (i.e. ChromeOS) so have no direct connection to the HP printer. The printer can either scan to email, directly into Google Drive or to a USB stick. You can get this printer on Amazon UK here amzn.to/3RIH8F2

Milwaukee M18 hand vacuum cleaner review
Переглядів 4,5 тис.Рік тому
In this video I share my thoughts on the Milwaukee M18 hand vacuum cleaner. I've got many Milwaukee M18 cordless tools, but this is the first one that I've not been happy with. The M18 CV-0 hand vac (part no. 4933459204) sucks up rubbish very well, but is noisy, heavy and a bit unwieldy!
Cutting insulation board with Bosch Soft Material jigsaw blades

A review of the Bosch Soft Material T313AW jigsaw blades and in particular cutting PIR insulation board. Brilliant, you've convinced me.. I'm currently building a garden room, I built a timber base and insulated it with 50mm PIR. I cut it with an old wood saw, like what you showed early in your video. Far too much dust and it was really difficult keeping the cut 90 degrees from the top surface to the bottom. I'm just about to cut some 75mm PIR for in between my roof joists and going off my experience with the saw, I wanted a better and cleaner cutting method. I saw this blade for sale on screwfix and wasn't really sure, until I found this video... so I've just ordered a pack of 3 and can't wait to cut my PIR nice and clean like you 🙂

I wonder if the binder is just diluted white glue. The water would allow it to soak into the leather and bind it together.

    • @Brauschemann
      @Brauschemann 2 місяці тому

I thought so too. I would expect a watered down PVA glue would do the same job, with something like cellulose thinners or acetone for the cleaning, or even panel wipe. Anything that could be used as a primer on MDF should be suitable as a binder. I am also thinking that food colouring could also work as a dye, but would need sealing afterwards. For the quite high cost of that kit, considering the small quantities of what's included, leather filler should also be included. A useful video to watch though, and the results look worthwhile.

I recently bought one these and it is exactly what I wanted as it is large enough for several good size parcels and protects them from theft due to the lid receiver mechanism at the top which allows a parcel to be placed on an internal shelf which lowers the parcel to a lower level when the lid is closed and raises when the lid is opened so an arm cannot be placed inside to retrieve a deposited item. The box is heavy and well made from galvanised steel. I am impressed with the box. The price seems inconsequential when you realise that parcel deliveries need not be waited on but simply collected at your convenience in a very secure parcel box……

Very similar to the type I've been looking for. Handy video of this and it makes a change to see how it works, as all the blurb on this type of box never ever do this, The letter slot in this parcel box is somewhat redundant when you can simply lift the lid and drop any mail into the exact same space, as it all drops down to the bottom of this box. There are similar ones to this that are the same type and they cost way less as well (two years on from this video) you can get one for £200 or less. Use home security cameras with this as well. To prove that items have actually been delivered. As for that bar code, that seems to be a total waste of time. Especially when couriers scan items on the doorstep and also photograph them when delivered.

They can also be used in a hand held saw that takes jigsaw blades, for me they work equally as well. Especially for hole cutting by hand rather than jigsaw.

These blades are awesome! Even more awesome! When you can resharpen them. I used a simple hand held pull through sharpener from eBay for less than £6 .0 . One side ceramic. Pulled the blade through 5 or 6 times each end of sharpener . Like a new blade. The sharpener is cheaper than new blades.

I've been using these and the slightly longer Festool 204345 blades. Currently have a preference for the Festool blade. Both produce wavy cuts when cutting long (8ft, 2.4m) but that's an interesting tip about grinding them short, I will try that.

I just used this kit on a 2011 E class. It looks good but I think I should have let the binder dry longer/fully between each coat. I also used too much I think. I also used too much of the dye. It became a little rough feeling, but It looks great. I’ll do my Range Rover next and will allow at least 15 minutes between each coat of the binder and also apply the color more sparingly like in this video. I do wish I watched this before I did mine. It was more helpful than the actual product video.

I've not tried. But I suspect no, as cutting that with a jigsaw would be awkward. I was installing some rock wool this week and used a snap-off knife. But any long blade, kitchen knife or bread knife works extremely well.
