I just got one off the internet a raspberry burst model, I hope it's straight! Then I saw a video for AIO ksa50. The epi has a maple block and some off name fretboard wood. The AIO has a mahogany block and an ebony fretboard for like $469 shipped. I wonder if I made a mistake... Do you think the block wood difference will matter much? Thanks for the vid.

I did a fret level & crown & polish on mine, along with trimming the fret ends and it's a different guitar. No choking out on high frets any more. Frets feel as good or better than any Gibson I have owned.

These Epiphone are unreal. I have the vintage sunburst model which I play just as much as my Gibson Les Paul. Great pickups and feel overall. Oh and by the way, Fantastic playing my friend! 😊

What settings?

Gassing for a semi-hollow… there is so many to choose from though.. the Epi’s are nice like the dots and Sheratons but you have Yamaha, Sire, Harley Benton and a load of Chinese copies from nonamed makers..

I had to level a few frets by sanding them down a hair with some 240 grit sandpaper. Then I gave all them a good polish with a micro mesh polishing stick. After that mine plays beautifully. A fret rocker comes in super handy. I also found the pickups were set too high on mine and lowering them made a big difference.

I have the same guitar . I put Seymour Duncan Antiquity in and never looked back .

I just bought one of these es-335s for playing gnarly Hooker style blues. Simple but effective.

Yup that's the mark of a real player. They can pick up any guitar and make it sound great.

good guitar, liked it but i found that compared to the uptown Kat or the Casino Coupe it feels so heavy, i mean it plays and sounds really great just it's heavier than the Kat or casino coupe both of which plays really great and sounds great too. if you like epiphones but find the es 335 heavy ( i found the smaller es 339 was heavy as well) the semi hollow Uptown kat is worth a look and the Hollow bodied smaller casino coupe is an option to check on because they are good.

I hate epiphones because of that issue of notes choking up. It is unacceptable to receive a guitar in that state for that price.

I have the blueberry burst for 2 years now. For anyone buying this, just visit a reputable tech/luthier and have them do a full setup for it. If you can do it yourself, better. I setup my US made instruments too, no guitar is setup for me fresh from factory, setup is personal. I don't think any factory worker inside gibson/fenders knows what I want, unlike my local tech/luthier who I can talk to, or myself since I know how to do a setup. After that, this plays better than even most expensive guitars from factory.

Ben- WHich software are you using on your laptop- It looks like you have a converter going into your laptop as well.

Dude. It’s a great sounding guitar. It needs a “setup”. Almost every guitar needs a setup on arrival. You must have a lot of other guitars or really not care about that one to let such a glaring (yet easily fixed) problem go without taking care of it. You play well and get a *really* good tone when it of that thing.
