Advance Mountaineering Course
AMC aims at training the trainees to become potential leaders and members of expeditions into the Great Himalayas and to churn out 'Lead Climbers', the duration of this course is also 28 days.
One is eligible for an AMC only if he/she had got an ‘A’ Grade in Basic Mountaineering Course from any of the recognized mountaineering institutes.
Besides brushing up their basic techniques, the following are also taught.
The objectives of the Advance Course are:
• Advance techniques of climbing on rock, snow and ice
• Planning and Execution of an expedition in the Great Himalayas
• Scientific and technical aspects of mountaineering and allied subjects
Trainees are given an exercise on planning an expedition to a peak above 5500 Meters / 18,000 feet which is actually executed by them in the mountains of Garhwal Himalayas, under supervision of NIM Instructional Staff.

Basic from NIM only ...yes shovik sir was my rope instructor..it was AMC 176

@Eraya91 There is no perticuler reason behind that ...BMC done from NIM thats why choose NIM ..for AMC also ...i stay 3 hrs away from HMI went there for rockclimbing course ...all are same ....
@@mountainmadness1 in BMC course and AMC course almost all the things like trails, base camp are similar .. I saw many reels on Instagram so that’s why I was like why people choose the same institution again for the same course , I am curious 🧐 that’s why I asked
@@Eraya91 look, we are not going there for trek or expedition....so diff trails are not required...if we do not have to adjust new things like trails or instructers or basecamp....then we can conentrate over our trainings....😊

Thank you so much...... It depends on the weather condition as well as you have to face heavy snow basically before and after bhaba pass .....make sure to carry all snow equipments if going without agency...other wise agency will make sure your safety.

Bro it was self organized trek by 3 of us ...it was cost less than 10k for each from chandigarh to chandigarh for all expences.

As a general rule of thumb, you should always leave between 150 and 200 feet between your campsite & closest body of water. This will ensure that your food particles and soap will breakdown in place at your campsite, and not infiltrate into the natural waterways. You were camping too close to river at mulling.Should have done it near that resthouse.
