An Eclectic and Noisy Road from Kassai Square to Örs Vezér Square | Budapest Walking Tour [4K]
The Nagy Lajos Király útja (road of King Louis the Great) is one of the most important and busiest routes in the 14th district. The two ends are Örs vezér square and Kassai square, where it flows into the capital section of the M3 motorway (Kacsóh Pongrác street). It was named today after the Hungarian King Louis I in 1936.
The road was previously called Hajtsár (or Hajcsár) road. There is no information on the exact time of its formation, but on the map made during the second military survey of Hungary, most of its route can already be recognized (starting from Örs vezér square).
