    WTF is a "solar deck"? Can you use common terminology for those of us not in the industry? Are you removing the panel to check the optimizer beneath it or what? And what specifically are you doing when you are checking it?

    So u changed 5 optimizers that all coincidentally failed on the same string? What are the chances it wasn’t just the ground?

    I have a Drok model EM3005 which is an AC meter that should register 40 to 280 V and current from 0 to 5 Amps. There is no CT just 4 connections. Ever seen this type? Thanks.

    I am installing a Drok "AD16-22AM" AC Amp meter. For a 120 volt circuit, what size wire would you use to connect the meter to the line & Neutral of the source? I am monitoring a outlet of a Voltec T-Box Nema 5-20R

    The rear block should be flipped over so you can place a soft thermal pad inside, this should cover the entire backside contact area of the back waterblock. Then you heat it all up with a blow dryer (NOT A HEAT GUN) and get the block hot, and GPU PCB nice and hot! Then you place the rear block and press it down and squish that full coverage thermal pad, the full cover pad would conform to the entire back of the GPU. Your temps would be literally ridiculous..You are essentially transferring all of that metal/water cooling surface area to the entire back side of the GPU. And not just those tiny pieces of gimpy thermal pads you are using. Optimus PC sells the 3090 FTW3 “Full coverage backside” Fujipoly branded 3MM thick ultra soft thermal pad for $38 bucks. It is a perfect fit for your GPU with holes pre-cut.

    my solaredge system is just recently giving this error....system working for 2 years and no error... I have found the bad string that produces the error....the bad string has 8 panels....and still producing 8v across the pos and neg ... it appears to give the fault in the mornings after rain during the night ... the moment the sun shines I see the isolation value rise above 600kohm and the error disappears and the system starts producing again... any idea what this could be in your experience... its moisture related??? ...

    I've found using cut "round tooth picks" to 3/4 length of their original length, then place them (cut side down, pointy side up) "diagonally" in the cooler screw holes helps to align the PCB holes as you slowly lower cooler block onto the PCB. While leaving the 2 tooth picks in their holes, insert 2 screws into the other empty holes, lightly tighten. Then remove the tooth picks, insert the other 2 screws and lightly tighten. Finally, diagonally tighten all screws to a firm tightening. Done this procedure on ALL my GPUs when replacing thermal pads. No guess work on IF cooler & PCB were mounted right and keeps them from sliding before putting screws back in.

    • @thelistener4101
      @thelistener4101 2 роки тому

      also.. disappointed that the exact location for each size (whether .5mm, 1mm, or 1.5mm) thermal pad used was NOT overlayed onto the component it was for the viewer of this video could SEE where the pad size was placed.. just talking about the pad sizes used.. pointing does not work here.. overall, video was somewhat "janky" as some say and probably difficulty to follow.

  • @perngip

    • @videocardzrule354
      @videocardzrule354 Рік тому

      I bet they do work. You use a blow dryer, heat the block up to where it’s so hot it will burn you, then you heat up the pads and paste on the card, then you set your hot block, on to the hot GPU PCB. And everything will press down nice with lots of compression. This is gonna give those pads some squish and your contact and thermal transfer will be insane. You look at my videos, and my gpu temps and tell me if I’m wrong. Don’t assemble a cold GPU. This cause improper tightening, and an actual burn in period to be needed for the pads and paste. And all sorts of things other things. I bet the 1.8’s would have worked just fine.

    Thanks for your help. I just did my 3090 last night and wasted my 1mm thermal pads. The 2mm pads they included are the right size. If I use 1mm it’s way too thin. I also stacked the pads for the chokes but might make like a copper spacer for it.
