🤣 True. I had to fix the used one because the piezo igniter had gone bad. I want spares because for the years that I didn't have one, I just missed it a lot. The spares will be incase one gets lost or damaged somehow. They are truly reliable with a higher quality butane like Colibri.

It is packed at the moment, but keep an eye out at the end of October and I'll do an update. I think it is pressed from sheet copper, the edges are high polish and the front and back have a different finish.

His videos are super informative! I've been thinking about getting his book, but I don't plan on making that many flutes, and if you are patient and determined enough you can find most of the measurements by watching his videos.

Great insight! Alternate alphabets are fantastic for passing notes. I'm honestly surprised that this video is getting as many views as it is. Of course I'm glad about it, just surprised.

@@theproffessorsgarage If you're interested in alternate alphabets. Might I suggest IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet)? That is how I found Shavian.

Are you talking about the military phonetic alphabet or the representation of the phonetic sounds? I am aware of both. Very familiar with military and I don't have any of the characters memorized.

@@theproffessorsgarage The alphabet used to represent the phonetic sounds. The military one you are thinking of is called NATO Phonetic Alphabet (or officially International Radiotelephony Spelling Alphabet). Where a word is assigned to a letter. A: Alpha B: Bravo C: Charlie The cool thing about IPA is that it has the ability to represent most of the common sounds in language. However it can be behind in representing sounds from some languages that have tonal sounds and uncommon sounds. Such as Xhosa. An African language that has popping or clicking in it, and of course languages that are dying or have few speakers and linguists in those languages. But I am glad to see people learning these alphabets as it can tremendously help in learning new languages as it tunes your ears in hearing and listening. That was my problem when learning Spanish as I skipped most of the speaking and listening aspects of the lessons.

I can't stand windows 10 or 11. XP was the best in my opinion, so finding a way to make it work like XP was the fist thing I did when I got my laptop for school.

@@theproffessorsgarage I'd really recommend a flavor of Linux using Cinnamon since it looks and feels like XP. Garuda is a good option, so is Mint.

It's sealed. It's not going to evaporate.

@@UltraMagaFan you see, the gases evaporates trough the wick and as there is no gasket around the wick cap, it is not 100% sealed.

The fuel life is horrible. Only a couple days. It goes down by 1/8 of an inch per day with no use and keeping it standing up with a max ambient temperature of 65F.

Unfortunately it leaks like a sieve.

I don't think it's actually copper. At best it is copper plated, and then it seems to have a lacquer as the final layer.
