It's way too complex!!! How could anyone remember all these rules?? To play a game of Ark Nova, I have to be constantly reviewing the rules, which is not fun. If you want to play a zoo-building game, try Zoo King, from Saratoga Toy & Game. It is easy, fast and fun, although there is no solo mode.

2:30 you forgot to mention that you can split tiles. Therefore the extra red tile could have been put onto row 1,2, or 4 instead of taking the deduction unless the deduction is deliberate.

One bit of constructive feedback, and since this is a year ago, maybe you already do this differently! But as a new player trying to learn about my faction before my first play through, when you mention all of the tech tree stuff that I should prioritize, it would help to see the card descriptions as you talk about them. It’s just making me need to go look up the card’s information online somewhere else. I appreciate the video and you are giving lots of what seems to be great advice and context 😁

They look so good to, and all you have to do is stick them together? We mostly use Theater of the mind,but this would really help with larger combat without having to remember which each pebble is

The 25 and out rule is brutal, makes the game end way too fast. Almost worth taking out the +10s if yiu want a longer hand or the kids not to cry.

Is it only for fairness that you say to chose stradegy cards in snake order? The rules reference book specifically states two picking rounds clockwise starting with speaker (73.1 main passage and 3rd bullet). So: speaker, 2, 3, 4, speaker, 2, 3, 4. Not (snake): speaker, 2, 3, 4, 4, 3, 2, speaker. The PoK expansion rule book makes no mention of any changes to the stradegy card choosing order. Is it in the codex? I havent checked if that has any rules changes or just card/faction changes. 11:00

Not using the backstory or theme to explain the stuff on the cards or what we’re “doing” is making this hard to follow. Like ambition and tyrant and tycoon etc etc mean nothing to us.

The Federation of Sol Will forever be my fighters faction. With upgraded Carriers and flagship even with a fleet Cap of 3 you are gonna need more dice for space combat

if you are stacking for example a red +2, and then the next person does a green +2, can the next person do a blue +4, or does it have to be the same color? so it has to be a green +4?
