Hahaha.. I have contacted Toontrak about this and they are going to do an Update for this SDX..so i guess listen while you can before its gone!!

Bought it in my country, for like, 260$ And i can't be happier, it's an amazing deal. What i really like about this mic is that, I think, it's the only mic in 250-500$ price range, that has this smooth sound on high frequences. And for my little bit harshy and sibilant voice, this is a perfect match. I was using SE 2200T and RODE K2 on my vocals before, but TBH, I much prefer WA 47jr over this mics. Thank you for review, you've done amazing work and your son is an amazing artist too.
Thank you so much for your compliments and I’m so happy you enjoyed found a mic that’s works so well for you 🙏✨
Hi, i want a mic that sounds warm, thick and silky on highs. I’ll be using it to record male vocals. I have rode nt2a but it sounds very dull to me. So which one should i get, Rode K2, Neumann TLM 102, Warm Audio WA-47jr or suggest any other best vocal mic under $800. Multiple Polar patterns are not mandatory as i only use cardioid polar pattern. Thank you in advance.
TLM 102 is great vocal mic … it has a low end cut so maybe not as dull sounding as your rode.. the WA 47jnr has a nice round low end and a sweet top end that is smooth and versatile.. I’d say the WA.. a lot of podcasters use the TLM 102… TLM 103 is better and more suited to vocal singing but more expensive ✌️
Hello! Should I get the rode nt2a or this warm audio jr? I hope u guys reply thanks
I must say , that’s a really song
Nice review! Cheers!
Thanks ✌️
I have one and am quite pleased with it.
i currently have the rode nt1, and am thinking about eventually getting this mic, but i want to know if you think this mic would be good for someone with a bit of sibilance.
@@fangsoffuego the top end in these mics is actually very nice and useable.. for a sibilant vocalist maybe try a little different mic positioning and some post recording processing ✌️
✌️
Ha, I found this video after searching for Superior Drummer 3 easter eggs, cause I found one that looks like you can access as well. In the Music City SDX, Brush Train preset, on the floor tom (at least using brushes) one of the samples has somebody speaking during the decay. It sounds like "Okay, give me one second, Matteus", or something similar--there's also some clicking or fidgeting noise. When I first heard it it really scared the shit out of me because it was completely unexpected and I was wearing headphones. My heart started racing cause it sounded like someone was saying it behind me.
Wow I’ll have to check that one out for sure!! Yeah mine freaked me out too and I thought I was goin bat shit crazy 😝
this mic or the 87 r2??
This one! For sure.. very versatile ✌️

I've been thinking about an AKG 214 and I saw this one. It sounds great! I've been using an MXL V67 mic very similar to this, but my engineer says he has to eq it alot to get to sound good. I want something out of the box that will sound good on my voice without lots of EQ for home recording when my sound engineer isn't around. What do you think?
The Vocal clip in this video is the perfect example… there is no eq or compression added.. it is a great flat response mic straight out of the box ✌️
@@ValleysoundsRecordingStudios Thanks! I just picked one up and have already used it 2 times now. All I can say is for the money - Wow!
@@Johnlowery_music that’s awesome John .. glad you’re liking your new mic and I’m really pleased we may have helped 🙏✌️
If You want instant good vocal sound, deapite good mic I recommend plugin Sheps Omni Channel its like every vocal must have plugin in one. Even if You dont understand how to use it just find the preset You like! Its a game changer for begginers!!!
This mic sounds excellent! Thanks for the demos.
Any tips for dry voiceover with this mic e.g. speak to side rather than front of mic, which of the three modes to use?
I’ve done quite a bit of dry voice over recording with this mic since Filipino this video and I’ve had the artist speak directly into the front of the mic.. I’ve been using the Cardioid pattern with fantastic results ✌️
I like it! Just ordered one
Sweeeeet 💥✌️
My big question is, how can it be so cheap? shock mount, leather case, all accessories, capsule?? chassi, everything costs, and company has to earn something, can`t understand how it can be that good for that price :D
Cheap labor, and high volume sales. Prices will go up.
No output transformer in the circuit. That saves a bt of cost. As Caleb says also, high volume production does save a lot of overhead. Just my two cents. I've owned and used a WA47jr for a few years now. I bought an SM7B only to find that I much preferred the 47jr on my vocals. I mention because of the price similarity. There's a tad bit more smoothening to do in the top end with the 47jr, but on my baritone voice in particular that is far easier to deal with than digging around for the elusive and intermittent low mid boom and proximity exaggeration in the SM7B. I think most female voices sit right above SM7B-proximity-hell range on the spectrum so I imagine that's why it is quite popular for female vocals. For my voice though, I generally find the balance and slight presence lift of the WA47jr is far easier for me to work with. Both very clean mics by the way.
The capsules in most mics are less than $30.
Hello Sir, Really liked the Video. I am thinking of getting this mic. I have a tenor kind of voice. Comfortable singing high notes and Not that strong or have power on lower notes, like Bruno Mars. Do you think this microphone will be good for me ?? If no,which mic do you suggest? My budget is $300 Thank you in advance🙏🏻
I use this mic a lot for vocals .. I have used it on a wide variety of singers and I’m impressed with it more and more.. it’s very diverse and would be a very good choice if you’re on a budget ✌️
@@ValleysoundsRecordingStudios Thanks a lot.
@@RemoGhoshOfficial No problem and all the best.. please subscribe to our channel 🙏✌️
Thank you. What's the advantage over the MXL 770X ?
To be fair, I don't have an MXL 770X to do a full complete comparison however from sound samples I've heard i think the advantages of the Warm Audio 47fet Jr would be its versatility of use with many different micing situations and not just vocals.. I've only really heard the 770x on vocals and its sounds great however i think it might struggle in other scenarios like kick drums, bass guitar or strings.. The Warm certainly captures a nice Detail in the recordings I've used it on
There are a lot of advantages over the Mxl, first is that this is a large diaphragm condenser mic, it has the signature warm 47 styled microphone sound to it which the mxl doesn’t offer, its offering a more vintage sound for a reasonable price, overall sound quality, sound signature is better
Hi really nice video but i was wondering if this mic is good for rap
Thanks! Yes the mic is great for Rap vocals.. here is a track that we used this mic for and it’s all rap vocals .. cheers ✌️ ua-cam.com/video/w_6_7FveE_g/v-deo.html

Nice review! Thanks! Have you tried this on a full drumkit, as a mono single mic or stereo overheads setup?
Not yet.. we have tried as a stereo pair on acoustic guitar and a vocal and they sounded great ✌️
Valleysounds Recording Studios awesome! Thanks for your reply
Are you showing the mic with no compression? Cuz I've recorded and never got that even of louds to softs sounds from a voice until it's been compressed. It seems that every condenser mic video review online sounds like it's been compressed or am I crazy?
I’m definitely not using any compression.. the mic is going straight thru the console strip and into pro tools..that audio has not been processed in any way... UA-cam maybe be adding some form of compression to the video and other videos you’re watching more than likely ✌️
Hi, very nice video but now I'm torn between an AKG C214 and the WA-47jr. Would you have any thoughts between these two? I'm currently using AKG D5 and Shure SM58 and just recently got a Rode NT1. Thanks.
The advantage with the WA47jr is that it has multiple polar patterns.. the c214 doesn’t .. so I think the WA would be more versatile ✌️
Are you using a cloud lifter?
I believe cloud lifters are for dynamic mics
@@sbroadbentphoto yes for low level dynamics like an SM7 and also some ribbon mics
No.. I’m using just the pre amp in our Audient Console ✌️
Hi, with 450€ budget, what are your suggestions/recommendations ? :)
This is a great mic in that budget range ✌️
What are you looking to record? Do you need an all-around mic or something with a specific purpose?
Tenho um microfone WA 47 p vender se interessa da um toque
quanto vc quer nele?
Who is the singer? What’s the name of the song?
His name is Sam Dyball.. the song is called a million ways ✌️
Thanks for the video guys, just subscribed, greetings from England
The WA 47jr on John Meyer jr. :D
Hi! Thank you for this comparative. I was wondering about how this mic has maintain its tone over time. I mean, some of this low cost mics get damaged over 1 or 2 years. Just wondering if this is the case and also... wondering where is made, because I can’t find it anywhere! Thank you!!
Juan Pablo I used this mic yesterday on some vocals and it still sounds like brand new 👍
@@ValleysoundsRecordingStudios Thank you for the reply! Wondering about your thoughts on the sibilance!
Juan Pablo it’s not an overly sibilant mic.. I think that really depends on the singer.. I was doing some male vocals with it today and I find it very smooth in the top end on vocals.. I don’t use any eq when tracking .. on mix down today I used just my standard hi pass filter at 80hz ✌️
What Would You Rate This Mic 1-10 Compared to THE Neumann u87?
Young Aveezy I’d go with a 6.5 -7 ✌️
No where near but its nice tho
Very useful review, I’m definitely getting one wa47jr. Thanks :)
Sebastián Romero cheers ! Thank for watching ✌️
Do you think this is better than a Rode nt1?
GARNI yes! Much smoother all round ✌️
i got information from seller in my country, Røde production on 2022 so bad.. Buy 20 unit - 5 unit will return to warranty claim😆
I'm stuck on choosing Rode NTI and this Warm Audio wa-47jr. Which one might be better for vocals?
me too lol
@@420Effect I ended up buying the NT1. Haven't yet tested but will try sooner I purchase an better audio interface.
@@on-the-spot9467 did it go well?
Does this mic handles loud noise and can please recommend me this for vocals?
shubh shinde yes this mic is great on loud sound sources..and sounds fantastic on vocals ✌️
Thanks for the review. I bought one and couldn't be happier. (Got a great sale deal on it too). I love how smooth the top end is on my voice. Sibilance is tamed quite well yet there's still enough clarity and dynamic range.
pjmuck you’re welcome .. thanks for watching 🙏 Enjoy your new mic ✌️
Rode NT2A vs. Warm Audio WA 47 JR? Going to buy my first main microphone for the studio I'm about to open. If someone have tested those two please let me know
Maciej Treppa NT2a is a fantastic first main microphone for a studio.. very versatile and great sounding mic 👍

hello what is the best , nth 1 rode o wa47 j. tank¡¡¡ help me .
Geosonica the WA47jr has variable polar patterns and the Rode nt 1 doesn’t.. these patterns make the WA47jr more versatile in our opinion .. WA sounds great ✌️
Hello this Mic is better than AT4040? For vocals
Yes I thinks so!!.. I also have the AT4040 and i believe WA47jnr sounds nicer for Vocals

How does the mic hiss handle with very high compression for say radio music quality recording?
Rexide these are very quiet even at high gain settings
good overall review
classicalguitarchase thanks 🙏
I think the signal in the video is equalized... I have the same mic... The bass is very heavy.. Maybe to heavy... But high frequency is soft an gives air to the vocal. Would buy it again :)
Regenmacher ShelterVibes no eq or post processing was done in this video.. I was very conscious and focused on giving an honest and true review .. the channel eq on the console was not engaged and the protools session contained no plug ins.. no eq or compression added ✌️
Proximity effect is what you maybe experiencing with heavy bass
Like Valleysounds is saying proximity might be a factor, also room and instrument/vocalist is a big difference. Also mic position, you can see the guitar is mic'd at the 12th fret which gets rid of that boomy guitar sound (depends on if you want it or not). I guess the beautiful thing about this mic is that you can get wild different effects every time. You just have to tweak the positioning and other conditions. I don't own one, but I worked with the U47 FET in the studio.
Quick question.. Would I be able to use this mic using a pretty basic interface..? I'm just on a presonus studio 2/4
SAME!
Yes
The Nikko G this would work perfectly well with a basic interface.. this mic doesn’t need a lot of gain to have a great sound in this demo I was only using a channel in our console and going into an Apollo interface to computer for recording
does this mic hiss?
matthew diaz No in fact it’s extremely quiet!!
matthew diaz of the 2 mics I have one was quieter that the other .. I sent the noisiest one back and the replacement was very quite like the other .. then at very high gain levels they were both very quiet 👍
Is it suitable for Home Studio with very basic acoustic?
Inoshan Balasubramaniam yes indeed.. you may have to adjust your mic positioning or if your room is very bad you could use something like the Kaotica Eyeball.. << do a UA-cam search.. great product ✌️
@@ValleysoundsRecordingStudios Thank you for the reply ❤️
Thanks for the review. That wood room for vocals sounded a bit mid heavy when you were talking... just wondering if it colored the vocal performance.
Cheers .. was that with the crappy camera mic or the Jnr?? Could just be my Aussie Accent.. Ive recorded vocals a lot in that room with various mics and it’s doesn’t sound too bad 😁😂
@@ValleysoundsRecordingStudios Well it could have just been off-axix reflection or something. I know that the direction you and the mic are facing sometimes really makes on difference on the way a room sounds. I'm not trying to be too critical. If I wanted to dampen it a bit I might hang some rubber sheets on the walls, as limp mass diffusers. About a 1/2" off the wall (12.5mm) would let them do their job right, then need to be limp. Even treating two adjacent walls would kill it.
John S m8, his studio was built, not a repurposed room, you can tell, it was his camera, cause his rooms are fire
Nice voice!! Thanks for putting up a real singer for the review! Mic seems light in the bass and bright in the top end. Is that a fair observation?
Cheers .. I think this mic has a very honest representation in the low end.. the singer doesn’t have a big low range .. however I think the bottom of the kick drum sample brings across a nice tight definition in the lower end 😁✌️
Thanks for explaining. I’ll listen again. Cheers from Australia!
