I ended up getting a 100 watt hour viewmont battery for my first full wedding day. I will also have a few backup solutions on hand. I loved my GH5 and I really was only annoyed by the autofocus.

How funny I use my GH5 for UA-cam and hobby. I upgraded to the R5C for professional and UA-cam work. I am currently second-guessing bringing my GH5 on the gimbal for a third camera.... Really cool content I am going to subscribe.

I was watching your videos after stumbling upon your channel from a search for R5C. I think this is one of my favorite videos out of all your videos. Thanks for sharing R5C footage and reviewing it for all of us to see. I ordered the R5C, should be coming in 1-2 days, but have been doubtful of my decision due to the lack of IBIS. I know people have made many videos regarding the pros/cons of IBIS, but none have fully went over my concern. Because having owned a GH5 and R6 Mark II, I have developed a certain shooting style, which I am not sure is possible with non-IBIS…also sometimes I like to slap on some non-IS L lenses such as the 50 1.2 or 35 1.4, I love the footage coming out of those. I never had any issues with my R6II IBIS like some have stated, it has worked me wonders. The reason I ordered an R5C from R6II is because a thirst for even better video quality and a more filmic look, however, I am afraid that the shots on the R5C will come out with micro jitters and not be usable, especially the ones on non-IS lenses. With the R5 seeming to have fixed overheating I find myself contemplating if I should have gotten an R5 instead. I do own an RF 24-70 like you do. How are you able to manage the lack and convenience of IBIS? Coming from GH5 and R6/R5 shooting style, does the lack of IBIS cause any issues or does it encourage a different, better shooting style? Do the advantages/look/video quality of the R5 C outshine the disadvantage of non-IBIS? I’m curious to hear what you have to say. Thanks for hearing me out.

Awesome video, man! I'm about to shoot my first wedding video with the R5C in a couple weeks, and I have 2 exposure questions: 1. I'm wondering approximately how overexposed you normally aim to get clean shadows but still preserve detail in the highlights? I'm shooting CLOG3 with Cinema Gamut - approximately what IRE on the waveform do you aim to keep your subject at? 2. And do you find it cleaner to shoot with a wider aperture and, say 2000 ISO, or close down a bit and just jump up to 3200 to take advantage of the dual ISO? Thanks again, and keep up the great work!

I set the base iso to 3200 and iso to 3200 in RAW LT (clog 3), in resolve, it is so noisy and switching the RAW from 3200 iso to 2500 makes no difference. Am I missing something?

Thanks for the great review! Really love the R5c. Hitting the Media button to switch to media browser really helps the battery a lot between shooting, and is faster than switching the camera on and off.

Nice rig! Definitely check out the fxlion batteries though, I love mine and they offer a more secure v-lock or gold mount battery option.
