You need to optimize your channel and do video SEO to reach your target audience. Otherwise, you won't get any video views if you upload videos to your channel throughout the year. If your channel is a bit optimized and the videos are SEO then your channel will rank very fast and your channel will grow. I have seen many channels in same category, have high rank and subscribers. But your channel is not reaching the same position due to lack of SEO related title keyword hashtags. Videos are not reaching the targeted audience. I can help you as an SEO expert if you want.
