D6 Robotech Zentraedi Light Artillery Pod
Did you ever figure out how to get your stats put up somewhere for people to look at them?
@philhatfield2282 not yet. I'm still working it.
First thing first! You needs a good pocket knife, and / or multi-tools, to open this survival kit !
@@metaplante right, you got me on that.
oh my thats primitive in comparison to my self made kits. must be a 20$ kit with all that empty space. whistles lol wth. wont need or want those in hiding. can just tap sticks together. not even a 1$ sewing kit. 1 of my fishing tackle boxes is better than this, with canned corn, fillet knife, bic lighters, matches, rope, paracord, ziploc bags with paper towels, can of weenies, can of peas, hard lemon candies (non thirst provoking) a couple cans of fruit with juice to drink. food + fish bait. i wont talk about my 3 rod bag with 79 fishing rods in it with my fish net rubber worms and wacky tool kit with pocket knife 2 spools of extra line. is more in it. wow you not get anyhing here.
There is NO reason at all to have a tape measure lol, if you want to keep it small, pack ONLY what you MUST have to survive. Not "I could use this if..." That's how you end up with useless junk, such as tape measures 🤣.
Cliff bars are also great. They can freeze then melt and still almost the same.
You can watch a few vids and train with it a little and a tourniquet could give you the time you need to get to further care. The bars are not terrible but everything tastes ok when you’re super hungry. Add a bunch of hot hands and enough blankets to keep everyone warm. A $20 sawyer mini would be helpful also. Being more prepared is better than not. Dig it.
I agree with you. You need a good pocket knife and/or multi-tool to open this survival kit! He needs to watch some UA-cam videos from survival professionals, like Corporal Corner (my favorite) This kit lacks fire and cooking equipment. Those hard granola bars can be more palpable if you add hot water to them, turning them into hot cereal or oatmeal.
Good review. Small shovel that size might be good for clearing small amounts of snow from the wheel wells and around exhaust pipe. The paracord bracelet can be useful for the cordage ( after you take the cordage apart, off the buckles), whistle, maybe the ferro rod n striker. That chrome whistle is probably louder than the bracelet’s. The multitool doesn’t lock the tools into place, making it dangerous as the tools could close onto your hand, cutting oneself. The pliers on it are wide jaws-not needle nose. The ferro rod and striker with the tinders would make starting a fire easier in the right weather and other conditions, after you have collected a sufficient amount of firewood from starting tiny to larger pieces. The belt loop is a water bottle holder-it holds a specific size water bottle around the neck. I’d repurpose the buckle to attach something to a pack. Pocket folding knife is weak and can bend easily. You are right on with the fishing kit. The tool card doesn’t seem useful to me, the light is good-keep batteries for it, light sticks are 1 time use - you can make a glowing “drip mark trail” with those- activate then cut it open and pour the glowing chemical onto rocks or something to mark direction/ position etc., the bag/ pouch is good- pack good gear you’d need it. Your cat 🐈 is cute!
@Nunya9876 thank you and thanks for watching.
@ you’re welcome. 👍
You have to start somewhere. I would say you need a 30/40L pack at least. Water/Fire/Shelter/Food. LifeStraw /Gas Lighter/ Poncho-Tarp /Freeze dried Foods. To cook your food have a small camping stove / propane with stainless steel cup. Morakniv full tang knife. Small flash light and head lamp. One emergency blanket with a change of clothes/socks (wool) and underwear. And of course paracord. Now you can fill your bag for end of days but that's not what this bag is meant for. It all comes down to what your able to carry and do you train with your bag.
@MetalRipper67 I'll be the first to admit that my field training is 30 years old at this point. I intend to train with the family soon, this will give us the pros and cons to our kits. I plan to share what we learn so it can help others. Thanks for watching.
I like your thought process in assembling your kit!
@msentinel01 thank you and thanks for watching.
While I don't have a go bag, I do keep a get home kit in my truck. It includes a folding E tool, tool kit, electrical tape, rope, tarp, flashlight and lighter. I also keep two, $10 rolls of quarters. I started this in college, when I was really broke. If I had folding cash, I might be tempted to spend it. With the quarters I always had enough money for gas to get me home. If I were to keep a go bag I would keep at least $200 cash in it for emergencies. Electricity might be down and your credit/debit cards are going to be worthless.
@GliderBane thanks for sharing, I will agree to keep a denomination of cash in small bills. Thanks for sharing and thanks for watching.
Glaug!
@death2all79zx thanks, and thanks for watching.
Click n play or world peacekeepers have better hummers. I bought 4 of the click n play ones and put GIJoe decals on them.
@JoePal-c3n thanks for letting me know, I may have to look into it, thanks again and thanks for watching.
I bought the click n play hummers they seem to be more suited and o have the hammer humvee but it seems to be a bit too large. Now spy troops has a few that might be more to scale cause the 1990s one is a slight too large
Great video
@MedicUp2024 thank you, and thanks for watching.
Scan range seems pretty limited for a space weapon platform.
Wouldn't the missiles be consumables? Protoculture fuel?
Who would you buy this from? With what money?
@@hemaccabe4292 I believe the author was running this in a campaign. I can't say who they intend to be the seller.
@@bcwolf100 Prices don't make much sense, but who knows what was happening in his campaign?
BTW, since a typical Zentraedi is about 50 feet tall, I feel the height is underestimated.
@hemaccabe4292 the funny thing i remember from the cartoon was how the zentraedi would cram themselves into their mecha.
First! Love seeing another Robotech nerd. The problem I have is once you see Babylon 5, it's hard to take it serious.
A week or two ago, I was talking through all of the mechs that were imported from Robotech to Battletech. I just wish they had imported the mospeada cyclones as well.
Stupid Micronians, what makes you think you can fly this!
I never saw a model of this. Maybe they never released her 😢
I'm not sure if they ever launched a model for this either, in the current robotech RPG there is a figure for it though.
Sadly, there was never a model released for the fighter pod. There was a garage kit made in limited numbers.
The VB-6 Koenig Monster was fully transformable into the gladiator and battleoid. Thats the version we want.
@Necron-ez2cc I'll look into it thanks for letting me know, and thanks for watching.
The blue panels on the pod are not windows. The pilot sees using a camera above the tri-barrel gun. The missile launchers are those black ovals between the engines, six of them (there are two on the bottom). They eject missiles out the side of the fighter, and then the missiles ignite and go on their way. Volleys should be 1, 2, 4, or 6.
@weirdguy564 thanks for letting me know, and thanks for watching.

Wish Jazwares could have figured out a way to make the Phantoms sit flush on the Ghost. Even something like adding an extra top half shell of the Phantoms just to look more accurate to the show when they're docked to the Ghost.
Keep at it!
@gufbrindleback will do, thanks for watching
Inside the cockpit all the seats have different colours, as well as the lounge area, mine also as missing battle damage the outer starburst scorch mark is missing, which is fine because I would have removed it anyway!
@doctordetroit1217 i didn't think to look into the cockpit for color differences, thanks for letting me know and thanks for watching.
Were you aware there is a Robotech Invid Invasion RPG put out by Will Serwetman back in 2008? It is .doc format
@philhatfield2282 No, i was not aware of this. Thanks for letting me know, and thanks for watching.
Scales in D6 are your friend. Keeps damage dice from getting insanely high
I agree, thanks for watching
Bit on the basic side but helpful, I wish I knew and paid attention to the game mechanics more. This was helpful helping me organize a few details. A few things to note for you, yes the area below you indicated was the external docking rack. As for what that forward arm is, my guess is its part of the recovery system, in WW1 and other post WW2 designs airship type vehicles used whats called a trapeze to recover planes. I believe this to be a similar concept as part of the recovery system, the ships tractor beams can help the TIEs navigate in close where this arm comes in to recover and place them onto the docking system. Also something you missed, the TIEs it mentioned in the Imperial SB there are called 'recon' TIEs, those being the TIE/rc model. Other sources do have them flying the LN but most might by flying the RC off of them or it might be a mix depending on the unit. Im working on a video for the Carrack so feel free to keep your eyes open for that
@lba_e_ross2152 thank you I will, and thanks for watching.
@@bcwolf100 Happy to, im going in for a deep dive so it should be a fairly long video (both to edit and watch) Your vid has got me inspired once I finish digging though the rest of the WEG sources it appears in and other pre disney lore books to see about looking at some of the game mechanics stuff worth mentioning. Like for example the cargo capacity, how much of that is food storage and whats not. I got that from watching your vid and will be sure to give the mechanics a thorough examination for more fun details.
@lba_e_ross2152 west end games gave us a galaxy to play in, I'm just trying to bring it all to light one ship, vehicle, droid and creature at a time. It's the fans that keep these franchises alive and I think gaming in these worlds does that.
@@bcwolf100 Indeed, it really is one of most solid bedrocks the helped catapult a lot of Star Wars lore into play thats just taken for granted. All of how the Empire works was laid out in the Imperial Sourcebook. Lots of stuff like that from droids to starfighters is all there and it has a ton thats just forgotten about hidden in one offs.
180mm Grenade launcher, not 108. It's quite substantial.
@emilmlodnicki3835 thanks for catching that, I'm sorry. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the vid boss. Always nice to walk down mostalgia road a ways with another gaming nerd. Have a good day captain.
@potandpoliticswithmr.broph1420 thanks for watching
Woot! So early the Robotech Masters haven't discovered the Invid yet. 😁
Yes Battletech allows you to change things love the system. What I love about Palladium Book Robotech 2nd ED did use unit formations for mecha. That the first ed did not do.What site did you get the Rifleman mech sheet from?
@MOrab46019 I got it from rpggamer.org. It's under the vehicle list, thanks for watching.
My FAVORITE Macross non-transformable Destroid! THIS is the primary reason why I also got into BattleTech/MechWarrior in the first place! As you can guess, I prefer using the Warhammer &, by extension, the Warhammer 40K universe, as well!
O'Tools Law "Murphy was an optimist"
The side cannon is mounted on the dual escape pod ports on the pictured ship. They touch on it a little in the novel that they removed the pods and put in turrets. The docking ring is on the bottom according to the Starships of the Galaxy book
@@ajediknight thanks for letting me know, and thanks for watching.
I treat player pronunciations as dialect and accent differences. With so many cultures, languages, races, etc, no word is necessarily pronounced in a specific way by everyone. A Corellian may call it BAR-LOZ, a Givin might say BAHR-lus, and so on.
@@ajediknight that is a good point, thanks.
Hey boss I'm subscribing and liking cause I love the topic but to be honest with you you may want to script out your lore and do a more free thought off the cuff personal opinion/ interesting tidbits piece you want to talk about as a wrap up section to the video. Please don't take it as an insult but I'm gonna post a couple of my favorite lore channels and maybe you can find something there to help you improve your presentation ( and do go back to the earliest vids to see how far other creators have come and you can go). Best of luck to you with your channel and thank you for covering Robotech/Macross. I love Battletech but it really annoys me that the fans act like the setting didn't get so many of it's original mechs from Robotech. Lore channels: Leutin09 Grimdark Narrator Fudgemuppet Camelworks Drewmora Majorkill Arch Black Pants Legion MrRhexx AJ Picket Ed Greenwood
@potandpoliticswithmr.broph1420 thanks for letting me know, I'm not offended. I'll take a look into the channels, thanks for watching.
I wonder who will be the first on YT to put a wash on the Haslab one? I put a wash on my Rogue One At-At and it looks amazing!
That will be me! I’ve been in the planning stages of that since I pre-ordered it
In addition to this imagery showing up in BattleTech, it was the basis for the Garbage Pail Kid: Hot Head HARVEY / ROY Bot.
That's a whole legal mess honestly, dating back to the 1980s and still in the courts. Basically had something to do with the artist used by Robotech also permitting the art to be used by FASA for Battletech (this and several other mechs currently dubbed "Unseen.") This particular one is Battletech is the Crusader.
Looking the episode *Tears of the Prophets* the OWPs must be at least 90m in radius because they are scaled as almost as wide as the BoP is long. 20m radius is smaller than a runabout and there is no way one can fit three heavy Spiral Wave Cannons and at least two burst torpedo launchers. It is also mathematically impossible to fit 1000 plasma torpedoes in that space.
I looked over on DITL.org and they have a nice cover of the episode, you're right that the with is off on this. I'm going to throw out a new with and please feel free to give me feedback. one of the stills showed the Defiant close by and the platform looked to be close to 2/3 the width of her. this leads me to think of about 100m wide. Though there is room for error on this because I don't know how close the Defiant truly is, but this would be my guess. thanks for letting me know and thanks for watching.
I finally got one of these fantastic jets
@@JoePal-c3n that's awesome, I hope you have a spot to display it in your collection.
Looks like a cylon raider
Was the main ship for the last d6 Stat Wars game I ran. Converted one cargohold for a small 1 man fighter.
11:57 - Yeah, that was a totally unknown "D-list" toymaker company named 'Forever Clever' (what a daring name, eh? 😀). Some insane Hasbro executive sold them the G.I.Joe licence for about two or three years in, I think, 2020. It happened a couple of years after Hasbro had shut down their own Kre-O brand. The quality of those sets was incredibly poor. Till that point in time, I thought that the worst "Lego-clone" had been either British 'Best-Lock' or Chinese 'BlockTech', but 'Forever Clever' was on yet another, even lower, level. 😀 + 😞 It was as if Hasbro gave them instruction to make Lego-compatible brick-based construction sets, BUT they should be like "cheap rack toys" that kids can buy for pocket money. 😀 + 😞
Micro Galaxy puts the galloob run to shame.
Well, a year passed by and Hasbro teamed up with Mattel's Mega to produce G.I.Joe-themed brick-based construction toys. 🙂
@subraxas I'm happy to see more brick G I Joe sets come out, Mattel did a good job from what I have seen. The sad part is Hasbro could have kept going with the Kreo line and improved the builds. The Last company that made Joe sets was a Chinese company that didn't do G I Joe any justice. Let's hope Mattel keeps making good sets not just for us adults but for kids to get into the franchise as well.
@@bcwolf100 Well, Kre-O was around for seven years if I remember it correctly and eventually Hasbro came to a conclusion that they could not compete on this particular market with Lego, Mega, Oxford, Cobi, and others. In 2010s as well, Canadian Spin Master, another huge toymaker, tried the same "experiment" like Hasbro did by their creating their own brand for brick-based construction toys, Ionix, and this one was around for even shorter period of time; like only five years or so. The competition is tough.
