day in the life (stay at home wife) vlog
When you have days like this, give me a call! I'm always available ❤
Thank you mama Linda ❤️ I most definitely will
Your feelings are very relatable to me! I remember when Ben went back to work having our baby and it felt very lonely during the day and I could not wait for him to come home at lunch or in the afternoon because just having someone else there as an option to help with the baby is huge! When it's just one person, everything can just seem so overwhelming because it's all on you. Take it moment by moment - hour by hour. You got this! 💪💖
Thanks Kayla :’) means a lot
Thank you for sharing your experience! <3
You’re so welcome!
I'm so glad everything everything went well! 🙏 My C-Section story: I had planned to have a natural birth as well. My pregnancy was normal, no special concerns. I went past my due date and on the 9th day after the due date, my water broke and I went to the hospital. They put me on pitocin because I wasn't very dilated. I started to have more painful contractions and back labor so I chose to get an epidural. I was afraid of this because my sister had one and it didn't work well for her so I was worried the same would happen for me. That was not the case - it was like day and night! I felt no more pain! They started to ramp up the pitocin but baby was starting to have heart rate issues so they stopped it and monitored me through the night. There were times where baby's heart rate would slow down during the contractions and they had me reposition in order to get it right again. By morning I had not dilated enough and it was getting close to being 24 hours since my water broke. For that reason they prepped me for a c-section. Baby was born! Turns out the cord was wrapped around his neck twice! Looking back I am very thankful I had the surgery because the cord being wrapped around him could have caused serious issues if I had a vaginal birth. To all mothers preparing for birth - you got this! It will be scary and stressful but just put your faith in your care team and they will do what's best for you and baby! Don't expect things to go as planned - your body and baby might have a different path they want to take, and that's okay! Trust in yourself and best wishes! 🥰
Thanks for sharing your story Kayla :') The fact that you went through so much but still had to get the surgery is crazy. You're so resilient! And life wouldn't be the same without you and your son. Much love!
Thank you for telling your story!! I too wanted an unmedicated vaginal birth but i’m having complications with my cervix and baby is about 11lbs!! My midwife told me about the complications if i tried a vaginal birth and there’s no way im risking our lives like that!! So they scheduled me a c-section on the 12th! I’m completely heartbroken and have been crying for days after finding out but watching videos like this really HAVE been helping out. I know imma still be terrified but NOT AS terrified (hopefully)
I’m so glad that this helped. You have every right to grieve though! You can do this :) Gotta stay strong for your child ❤️
@@stephlcase Thank youu! I’m so glad you said that! About grieving, cuz i’m so so beyond upset and everyone’s telling me “congratulations it’s what’s safer for you guys” like obviously i know that but it doesn’t feel like a full “congratulations” moment if that makes sense. I’m sure you understand !!
Yes girl! It’s ok to be sad. Take that time to process it ❤️
Why did you have to have a c section?
My baby was measuring really big and my pelvis is very narrow. My doctor thought it was the best/safest way to deliver my son. He was 8lbs 5oz!
@stephlcase I'm glad you had an overall good experience. I am curious though, how you feel about them telling you he was big, when he was actually a very normal weight?
It didn’t bother me too much! He was above average in length and his head circumference would have probably given me a fourth degree tear lol
hi love do you remember how much mg of progesterone they gave you?
Hi! I think it was 200mg but I don’t remember for sure.
You are doing great! He is so cute! It's okay to feel that way - it a huge life change and it's okay to be kind bummed that the life you had before is gone. I felt that way as well - so glad to have Calvin, but miss the simplicity of just the two of us to worry about before having him. 😅🥰
Thanks Kayla! Yeah so much of it is now having to think, worry and love a whole other person :')
I just had my baby on the 16th and am totally feeling you on missing the life before. Just it being my husband and I was so relaxing and I loved our routine. It's encouraging knowing they get into more of a routine as they grow cause I desperately miss having one haha
Yes! You’re not alone. I know new routines will fall into place :) haha
Wow! Time does fly as a viewer. Baby boy is already 2 months! And thank you for your vulnerability and for sharing your feelings about this new season. It is a hard change from your life before and will take time to adjust. But hang in there Mama! You will find your routine again! Oh and don't worry about chores. You've been through so much, remember to take care of yourself and your mental health! <3
Thank you for the encouragement :) mental health is so important
He is so cute! 🥰 I am so glad you are on this motherhood journey! I am very happy for you and proud of you! I know it's hard in the zombie phase right now with being up so much in the night, but it will get better! It might be a while, but it will pass eventually. :)
Aw that means so much coming from you! I look up to you so much Kayla ❤️
Awww he’s absolutely adorable 🥰 I had my first baby on the 11th of September and he’s such a cutie pie cuddle bug but recently started to clusterfeed so I feel you on being tired ❤ we got this !
Aw congrats! :’) We’re in this together haha!
So sweet! I had my baby the 25th of Sept. at his 2wk appointment he was 22in! No idea how because his father and I are normal height lol
Congratulations! That’s so cute haha long babies unite 💫
Awww. This was such a cute update. Baby Roan (sorry if I spelled it wrong) is so adorable!!! He is a perfect blend of you and your husband! <3 And Keep it up Mama! You got this!
Aw thank you! People have told us that before lol
Did you get your period after your 1st round of clomid and did you ovulate ?
Yes I got my period after my first round of Clomid because I ovulated but I didn't get pregnant that first round.
Thank you@@stephlcase
Such a cute vlog! Cherish all the newborn cuddles! 💙 🥰
Thanks Kayla :) I will ❤️
Awe! I’m so glad you got your first mom vlog done! Keep doing what you love even if it looks a little different. Give Rowan and Darren our love!❤
omgg my mom is pregnant, 20 years later after me 😭 so I 100% need some tips how to take care of my future little brother
Whoa! That’s exciting :)
You’re a beautiful and wonderful Mama!
Aww thanks Joelle!! 🥹
Baby is so cute ❤ you are a super mom :)
Too kind!
@@stephlcase did you have nausea? If yes for how long did it last?
@@Snaidu2803 I did in the first trimester! And after those first weeks it went away. Sour candy really helped with that lol
@@stephlcase thanks :)
ACOTAR is such a good series. And it just keeps getting better after that book lol. Baby is so cute ❤
I’m hooked! Haha 😆 thank you!!
This was a lovely little vlog! I'm expecting my first and I'm terrified - You make having a newborn look so peaceful though!! Glad you and baby are doing well. He is an adorable little guy!! <3
Aw thank you! There are many moments where it’s calm and then there’s lots of chaos lol but you got this!
@@stephlcase Thank you! <3 Hope you and your family are staying safe from the storm! <3 I have subbed to follow along with your journey (and pick up some mommy tips!) 🥰
Hi Stephanie, did you have any complications? Did doc put you on baby aspirin and progesterone support?
I had gestational diabetes but I managed it with my diet. And yes I was on progesterone for the first 12 weeks of my pregnancy. No other complications thankfully!
@@stephlcase great :) Can you let me know what dose of progestrone did doc give you? Name of the pill? Did you have any side effects?
Looking beautiful and glowing in the newborn phase!! ❤❤❤
Aw thank you :’)
Yay, I got SO excited when I saw you posted a vlog!! You are supermom! ❤
I'm trying!!! :') No no, you're the supermom!
I thought you lived in Washington State. 😆 I guess not. Love your fall decor!😊
I wish! I love the PNW :’) I live in Tennessee
❤
❤❤❤. Hes so adorable.
He is! :’)
Congratulations- Soso happy for you/ I have watched some of your videos and I’m going through similar journey. Trying to be hopeful bc this journey is very exhausting. 💔
Thanks so much! You’ve got this. Don’t give up. Anything is possible with God! ❤️
I started my fertility journey last year. I was diagnosed with PCOS and high Testosterone. My Gynecologist had me on Metformin then 6 cycle of Letrozole but no lucks. She wants me to do a HSG test but now I’m wondering if I should try clomid. It’s so draining and I feel so hopeless - I can’t even express it all in words. 💔 Thank you for sharing your story. I hope I can come back to this comment with good news. 🌱
It is a very exhausting journey and I understand! Please don’t give up. I believe it will happen for you :)
Please do the HSG if you can, I only way to know if at least your Fallopian tubes are blocked or open❤
@@mawuenabenedictaaborchie8421 I’m planing on giving a try. I hesitated bc some people said it’s very painful.
congratulations!!!
Thank you!
haha! His little feet poking out of the baby wrap! lol So adorable 😄 I was so emotional the first few weeks after having Calvin. I felt like I was crying all day and anything and everything would trigger it. I didn't feel like myself and I was worried I would "never be myself again". But it passed. 💜 It's just such a rollercoaster- life and your outlook, routine, and everything changes so dramatically so quickly and then on top of it hormones are dramatically changing - it's a lot mentally and physically! I hope you guys continue to do well and know you have friends and family in your corner! We will support you however we can. 🥰
That’s exactly how I feel right now! So much change in so little time lol. Thanks so much for the support Kayla 🥹❤️
Yay!! Congratulations !!!

Thank you :)
My favorite little update💖
🥺🥰
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!
Thank you!!!
❤❤❤
So exciting! I bet it's kind of nice having a planned day, though, versus waiting to go into labor - the days leading up to and after the due date are just questions marks, like will we or won't we have a baby yet? lol :)
Yes, that's a positive! haha :D
Might be interesting to see what your every day carry is 1 year later after being a mom.
That's a nice idea :')
Every tool's a hammer. Every bag's a diaper bag :)
Indeed.
Thank you for sharing! Millennials unite 😝
Absolutely :D
I am so happy for you, ❤
Thank you! 🙏🏻
@@stephlcase i am on my two week waiting after letrozole.. been trying to conceive since 2021. Your testimony gives me hope.❤️
@@fharjonnaabdurajak2502 oh wow! please don't give up. it's the hardest thing i've ever done but it will be worth the wait.
@@stephlcase thank you so much❤️
That chicken chili was really good! And so was that dutch baby I suppose lol
Your dessert was a slay 😤
Can i know what was the ovary volume in your scan report ?
@@Snaidu2803 I don’t know what that is. Sorry!
I love your aesthetic! ❤
Thank you!
Good going mama! Looks great and I’m sure you’ll be a fantastic mom
Thanks so much :)
