Changing the RANE 12 Vinyl

Hope everyone is feeling good! So i had so many questions about if the default vinyl that comes with the Rane 12 can be changed. The answer is YES! Check out the Video!
is mk2 can use same way to replace？
Yes I have the mkii and have done the same since it the same mechanism with the clip. Even the RANE one you can do the same

Nice video....i plans to purchase Rane 12’s Soon, and plans to change vinyl....
You can buy custom one's from 12inch Skinz. much easier.
How about right size drill? Great idea, going to do same thing with a bigger drill........
Sure I thought I had the right size but then after I drilled it was smaller than I thought.. so I had to remove a bit of the heated wax from the drill with a knife
djbrooklyndxb well is hard to drill holes, have to used a bigger size drill. Thanks for the video helped me a lot.

Have you tried Phase? I can't decide between the Twelves or Phase....any advice? Thanks
Steve Bennett I tried it and honestly it’s horrible. But that’s cuz I had it since the first release, it’s a bit better now but if ur a turntablist and u juggle or use cue points a lot u will have a lot of cue point drift.. and till this day they haven’t fixed it... another issue I had was the battery life, they said it lasts 10hrs. That was a bluff cuz mine last 4 hrs and they die, I took them several times to gigs. Last point sometimes the phase adapter doesn’t read the magnets so u end up spending about 15 mins turning it off and on so that they can function. The new update though fixed that. With the 12 u have zero drift and zero latency, plus ur going into MIDI mode (int mode) so there is no way u will signal issues

Taking a knife & then a drill to ANY vinyl is just painful to watch
A dab of clipper oil works great. I periodically clean the bar off with some.
Yo what's up I am thinking about ordering a pair of custom vinyls. They said on the phone that they come with 2 new metal center pieces. How will those 2 new center pieces work with my 12s? Just don't want to get ripped off.
Bman Hemi4ever they will work the same exact way I got in the video. Weather u got the metal Centre or the plastic new editing hinge, it will have three holes from the backside of vinyl. What will differ is that u won’t have the clicker u will have an Allen key instead to adjust ur tension
just remove the screw and magnet

Mine got stuck too... it’s like the center hole had to be perfect! The the quick release clips gives no room for any minor errors. I eventually got it after the 4th attempt
