Pets & Pickers is a heartwarming TV series about RAPS Animal Hospital, where pets receive urgent veterinary care, even when owners can’t afford it; funded by a dedicated team of picking specialists who sort through abandoned storage bins finding hidden treasures to pay for the surgeries.

Boa Constrictor Has Chronic Pain
Carleena has always loved snakes, and when she met Elorine the Boa Constrictor, she knew they had a special bond. Now that Elorine is 4 years old and has grown in size, Carleena is concerned about visible kinks she sees in Elorine’s body. The snake also seems unable to support her own weight very well, and seems to be in chronic pain. Dr. Martinez and the staff at RAPS Animal Hospital have to give Elorine an X-Ray to get to the bottom of what’s causing this Boa’s issues.

Hi, Bagheera the cat had no eyesight left, and so the RAPS team gave him a successful eye removal procedure (both eyes), and afterwards he could be heard purring for the first time in a while! So clearly his eye infections were causing him pain, and now he can live more comfortably for his remaining years.
