@@thepoorrockband great band, wearing their hoodie now actually lol. I saw them in May 2024 in Caloundra, Queensland as they recorded The Who Cares album live. I just can't get into their new stuff, it's so not them, but I give them 10 out 10 for the enthusiasm to keep going and alot people love their new stuff. Will go see them live again.

​@@thepoorrockbandif this is you we met at the Emu Hotel in Morphett Vale, Adelaide in the dining room, i asked you for a photo, i was with my son, my husband who's passed away saw you guys at the Hells Angels event in Ponde in the 90's. Didn't get to speak to you in Caloundra which was a shame, not sure what was going on that night it was a bit of a cluster f#$k, but recording was awsume though, I hope your doing alot better now, you weren't happy that night. P.s Dye your hair back to the dark brown it was originally, looked better. Hope you guys come back to The Emu. 💃

​@@thepoorrockbandI feel I need to write this because it's been on my mind way to long and even if no one reads it that's ok. In April 2024 I took my son to see The Poor as they were playing so close to were we live, he grew up listening to them from the age of 6, he's now 35. It was first time we had seen them live and we got to meet Skenie and Gavin before the show, it was an awesome show so I decided to surprise my son and take him to Caloundra, Queensland to see them record The Who Cares album with the money his father had given me before he died, we live I Adelaide so it wasn't cheap but I knew my son would love it because it advertised Bbq with the band, meet and greet the band and give away merchandise. Im not sure what happened but none if this happened and now the last 29 years of memories listening to this album and the memories with my husband have been shattered and im heart broken about it. It's a shame because I would have taken him to Darwin to see the band on the 12th of October as it's his birthday and I know he would go with me again. The Skenie we met at the Emu was not the Skenie we met in Caloundra and i know why but thats ok. I'm just glad he got to talk to Gavin and Dan when they were packing up because we were the last ones to leave, my son wanted to make the night last as long as he could. My husband loved you guys till the day he died, he was only 47, he died 2 years ago and wanted More Wine Waiter Please played at his funeral. There wasn't a day go by he didn't come home from work and play The Who Cares CD on in the shed loud and didn't care if it upset the neighbours. Hope now i can find some peace now I've written this. 😔

You made a comment, i commented out of an experience i had at an event i went to which was a meet and greet etc and the only one that made the effort was the drummer, the lead guitarist didn't appear until after it was all over and everyone had left, Skenie wasn't allowed to talk to anyone because his girlfriend was there, yet was a different person when I met him in my state. They advertised giveaway merchandise which never happened, I paid alot of money to go to this event as it was out of state, I felt awkward and disappointed as I've been a fan for over 29 years. I wrote im female so you didn't think I was some guy trying to crack onto you. Im actually heartbroken as I took the trip for my husbands 50th as he passed away and left me some money so I used some of it to fly up to Queensland. I never knew about them till I met him and they were our favourite band. The only silly thing about me was I went, now I don't even want to go see them again.
