You can explain why we divide it by 12^2, cause intuitively we want to divide by 12.

@@vishalraj2147 ok. Please try to understand now - please don't look at this as 12^2. Rather, please consider dividing every variable (a, b, & x) by 12, reason being, a is constant, b is your change in Y due to change in X (so, if that change is for 1 year, for predicting value of Y for one month, we have to divide this change by 12), and lastly, X is one unit which denotes 1 complete year in yearly equation but as we are calculating monthly value of Y, we would take one month value of X only and that is the reason why we divided X by 12 again. I hope that settles your doubts. Please ask if you have any confusion.
