JESUS' PARABLES of ISRAEL LOSING THEIR CALLING as a NATION* Matthew 21:28-30: "The Two Sons" The first are the Gentiles who at first did not choose to accept God, but later did, when Christ came. The second represented Israel who was commissioned and said they'd to go (The first covenant [Exodus 19:8] "All that the Lord says we will do"); but they did not (Jeremiah 11:10). In verses 31-32 Jesus bears out the context as being Israel's failure to repent. Matthew 21:33-40, "The Wicked Vine Growers" foretells how the Jews killed the servants--God's prophets (Amos 3:7); and when the heir/son--Christ--went in place of the prophets, they killed Him. Verse 45 clearly shows that Jesus' response (v42-44) to the Pharisees' answer of v40, was understood by them to be about their intent to kill Him, which v46 corroborates . Matthew 22:1-10 In "The Wedding Feast", the King is God who invited the guests--Jews, who never showed, but killed the "servants"--prophets (denoting also that they rejected God's invitation); so the King calls others--Gentiles--to take their place. (verses 11-13 refer to those who gather as God's people, but they do are not obedient to his will [as in Matthew 7:13-23]. That has nothing to do with Israel being rejected. But it is a warning for all you who who are taken in by the false prophets that abound the Web, especially UA-cam.) Luke 13:6-9 "The Barren Fig Tree" is reminiscent of Isaiah 5:1-7, Jeremiah 2:21, about Israel's unproductivity. Read Roman's 11. There are TWO ISRAELS--ethnic and spiritual.

A simple case of misapplication, due to preconceived denominationalism thought will lead to this type of teaching. Not understanding that when Jesus said what He did in Mt 24, that was BEFORE His resurrection, before His ascension, before His coming. Definitely the things in Mt 24 was to be in THEIR future, in fact it was to be in THEIR generation (Mt 24:34) when the Temple was destroyed. But does this mean it is in our future, in our generation or some other generation, when a different temple would be destroyed, certainly NOT! Jesus coming in the clouds, with His angels, with the Trumpet of God, in judgment (gathering of the elect) took place at the fall of Jerusalem in that generation just as Jesus said it would (Mt 24:30-34). The "END" Jesus said would take place when the gospel was taken to every nation (Mat 24:14) "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." The Apostle Paul affirmed that the gospel had went unto every nation in that generation (Rom 16:25) "Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my GOSPEL, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, Rom 16:26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, MADE KNOWN TO ALL NATIONS for the obedience of faith:" Was Jesus correct when He said the "END" would come when the gospel went to all nations or was Paul correct when he said it had? I say they are both correct. This demands the "END" is NOT referring to a physical end of the planet or an "EMD" of time! It literally means what Jesus said in Mt 24:3, it would be the "END" of their AGE (Greek word AION). They were Jews living in the age of Judaism and that would end when the Temple of God was removed from them in AD 70. Christians today live in an age "Christian" which has no end! Eph 3:21 "Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen." Now read that verse again, slowly...

2Thess.2:1-4 teaches that there would be “signs” before the “Day” of Christ = the second coming. Your teaching that there will NOT be any signs before the “Day” of Christ = the second coming. Now apply the same rule you apply against a denomination, to yourself. Who is right? You or Paul? Paul said that the Thessalonians would know when the day of Christ drew near, because the falling away would come first. That’s in reference to Matt.24:12. “And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.” This one statement right here proves that the Matt.24 (the Olivet Discourse) is NOT divided at verse 27 or verse 36, as you men state. 2Thess.2:1-4 obviously is in reference to the SECOND coming of Christ, yet Paul in making reference to the “Day” is speaking of the very thing Christ mentioned would happen before the fall of Jerusalem (Matt.23:12). The great apostasy would occur as a sign that the “Day” of Christ was near. But the great apostasy would occur before the fall of the city as a sign. Thus this proves that the “Day” of Christ occurred in that generation! 2Thess.2:7 the mystery of lawlessness was ALREADY at work then = in their generation. And when the restraining force was removed, the lawless one would be revealed. The lawless one was alive then. And in order for the Lord to slay him by His second coming, the second coming had to have taken place then, in that generation, while the man of sin was still alive to slay. 1Thess.5:1-6. They knew perfectly about the times and seasons of the second coming and needed no prompting on the issue. Vrs.4 the day of Christ would not overtake them as a thief because they would be sober and watchful for it. Thus it would come in their lifetime while and as they were watching for it with sobriety.
