Gananoque and the 1000 Islands is a boater’s paradise, fisherman’s playground, hiker’s haven and a cyclist’s waterfront adventure and it’s easy to see why it’s regarded as one of the most beautiful places on earth. Featuring two world famous UNESCO designated sites including Frontenac Arch Biosphere and Rideau Heritage Route and amid the spectacular scenery of lush woodlands, rock and cobalt-blue water, the 1,864 islands that make up the 1000 Islands truly lives up to its reputation as a world-class waterfront destination. Located approximately 3 hours from Toronto, 2 hours from Ottawa and 3 hours from Montreal. Gananoque is just 15 minutes from the border crossing into Upper New York State via the Ivy Lea Bridge and is only 50 minutes to Watertown. Our picturesque community is conveniently accessible from Highway 401, Highway 2 and the St. Lawrence River.

Is there a cruise line from Kingston that has the 1000 islands tower on the intenerary?
Hi there! The tower tends to be too far from Kingston for their tours, but the cruises from Gananoque & Rockport include the 1000 Islands Tower in a number of their tours.
