Raising The Rogers Homestead
United States
Приєднався 6 лип 2022
High school sweethearts over here trying to navigate through life with our 4 children. Neither of us grew up on a farm or knew anything about livestock in general, much less enough to raise and process our meat or grow our own vegetables. Over the past few years we feel that we have learned enough to document our journey and start sharing with y'all. Our goal is to show you that it is possible in this crazy world to challenge the status quo. As always, thank you for the support!

Be nice if you could put the cages on pulleys, lower onto fresh grass...raise them at night, to move, for chores
Dang! That is a genius idea! I might need to look into that! Thank you! Most importantly thanks for watching!
I'm not a homesteader but this must be the most satisfying part of being a homesteader to have a successful harvest. God bless you Rodgers family!
Very much so! It’s exhausting but so rewarding to put meat in the freezer for your family! Thanks for watching!
I think you might end up building a shelter for each pig as they grow bigger. I wi wish you success with this.
Thank you for watching! You could be correct! I’ll just have to see how they look and what impact they have on the land.
Great video!
Thanks for watching!
Oh my so cute!
@@kellysingleton3278 thank you! Thanks for watching once again!
I hate you loss so many chickens! But I second those foot traps! They work great!
Thanks for watching bro 😎
Gotta love the poacher broad head
I’m sorry man for the loss! We all eventually go through it. No matter how much you fortify a coop, tractor, shelter, if an animal wants to get In it’ll eventually figure it out and get in. I’m glad to see you did the right thing and took him out. Relocating never worked for me. Great video.
Man thank you so much! You are an inspiration to us over here! Keep doing your thing! Thanks for watching!
Perfect song to go with vid.
Thanks for watching!
FYI, a can of tuna fish in oil will always bring them in. They can smell it farther than anything !!
Thanks for the tip! I’ll have to try that sometime! Thanks for watching!
Great job, Sir. I use cattle panel for my veggies. No frame yet. Gave me some ideas for a green house tho..
Thanks for watching! Iv got a video on a green house also check that video out sometime!
Hahaha this is the best BEAST review I’ve seen yet, well done 😂😂
@@BowmarBowhunting dude you just made my day!
Everything looks soooo good! Weeds are EVIL lol. Coco and Puddin are the cutest!! Thanks for the updates!
Thanks for watching!
Great idea! Nicely done
Thanks for watching!
Great video
Thanks for watching!!
Man, i dont show this channel to my wife cause this guy works too hard.
😂 That’s probably my favorite comment ever! But also my wife does all this stuff and keeps up with the kids she is the real superstar! Thanks for watching!
You guys are sure working hard. I pray everything is abundant!
Thank you for watching! Thank you for the prayers we always need those!
Wow!! tons of hard work!! It's going to pay off soon😁 That newest lamb is soooo cute!! Do you guys name all of the animals? 💐Happy Mother's Day!🌻
Yes it has been a ton of work! 😂 and yes all of our animals have names the newest lamb her name is socks. Thanks for always supporting us!
No problem! It's quickly becoming a favorite channel!
@@emmylivingston4380 we appreciate it!
How stinking cute! 😂
They are pretty funny! Thanks for watching
Pretty good!😂
Thanks for watching!
Here's a good vegetable/fruit fun fact. A funny way of remembering how many feet are in a mile is with 5 tomatoes. (5280 feet, 5 to mate o's)
That’s a good one! Thanks for watching!!
Lol I'm not even level 1 yet
😂 start somewhere! I completely left gardening out and I shouldn’t have! Grow something! Even if it’s herbs! Thanks for always watching!!
I do have a small garden 😁 I have 7 mineral tubs, 3 small 4x2x10" raised beds, 2 4x6 in ground beds, and 2 greenstalks. Chickens are next on my list 🐣🐐🐑🐄🐖
@emmylivingston4380 that’s awesome! Keep it up and moving! This was once all a dream to us as well!
When you gotta get rid of the body😂
😂 there is a reason the cartel had pigs 👀
@@raisingtherogershomestead3148 leave the gun take the cannoli. 😂
😂 thanks for watching!
I think horses and goats would have a level.
We have 1 goat (not a fan) but it was the kids decision on that! I haven’t found a great use for a horse unless you could put a yolk on it and make it move things 😂 thanks for watching!
I'm confused. What are you saying about the totes? You can collect so many that it's as it you are rearing them like an animal?
Yes sure 😂 we’re gonna start catching rain water! From what I have read it is just as addicting as buying chickens! Thanks for watching!
@raisingtherogershomestead3148 ooooh, I would agree with that. I don't own anything but a car, but I love the idea of homesteading
If it is a true goal stick to it! It took us over 10years to get to this point but it was worth it! Also homesteading looks different for everyone! Start growing something!
Level 6 is rhinos
😂 absolutely! Thanks for watching!
I love your garden space! I'm excited to see it grow. Are you planning on filming preserving content? Or doing garden tours?
Thank you! We have put a lot of time into it! We hope it produces 😂
We do plan on doing some preserving content but that will be on Elizabeth! I will also do some garden walkthroughs as the year goes on! Thanks for watching!
Yay!! I look forward to watching!
It's a win-win!
Absolutely! Thanks for watching!
Is that day old rice?
🤷♂️ it might be! Thanks for watching!
No seasoning
Nope! None at all not even salt! Thanks for watching!
So cool! Hope to see more of these videos in the future!!
Thanks for watching!
Awesome recipes. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much! Thanks for watching!
Not a lot of $ Don’t know how payment works
It’s taken a lot of time and effort to make that 1 dollar! It will be deposited into my bank account once I reach 100 dolllars. If I ever make that much 😂 thanks for watching!
@@raisingtherogershomestead3148 Omg you be years trying to make $100 Love the videos 👍🏻
I wish I could find some mineral tubs locally. It's just impossible and we have pastures of cows in my back yard.
Just ask local farmers most of the time they just give them away! That’s where I get all mine from, I ask anybody that has cows! Thanks for watching!
recipeeeee
We have a video on our channel! Go check it out! Thanks for watching!
@@raisingtherogershomestead3148 i couldnt find it :(
I love growing in the mineral tubs...but never tried potatoes. I have great success with okra and cucs tho
We have grown tomatoes in them but they didn’t do well we need to try other things! Thank you for watching!
@@raisingtherogershomestead3148 I never have luck with regular tomatoes in tubs but cherries do ok.
Definitely trying this! Thank you!
Awesome! Let’s us know how it turns out! Thanks for watching!
I’m trying the tubs this year! Excited to see how it goes
Let us know how yours turn out! Thanks for watching!
Best one yet! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for watching! I hope this inspires you to build your own!
This looks super awesome! Thanks for sharing !!!
Thank you for watching!
Looking forward to seeing your garden
We can’t wait to get the garden going! Thanks for watching!
Looks super sturdy!! I bet the kids love it :) I've been looking forward to this video. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching! They love it so far iv still got some loose ends to tie up on it but so far so good!
Сколько яиц,я бы обожралась
You did good job but I like that lamb 😅
😂 thank you! They are so funny sometimes! Thank you for watching!!
Are you making a video of the swingset build?
I can do a walkthrough video of it. I didn’t film any of it because I am not a carpenter I just kinda put things together as I go 😂 thanks for watching!
I love that your kids picked goats to get. They are so cute!
@kellysingleton3278 they are a mess! Thanks for watching!
Great Job! And yes, you do need that window in the back to get airflow when too hot inside. Love the pipe insulation on the ends. We've built several 2 panel hoops for chickens, with tarps instead of plastic and in process of building a 4 panel one as a greenhouse. Again, great job!!
Thank you so much! Thanks for watching!
Well done Sir! I will copy your design. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! It means a lot to me knowing I can help people or at least give them ideas! Thanks for watching!
I kind of want to watch this to the end but the music is as so irritating and made it difficult to follow what was being said. What I could see & hear of it seemed good.
Well dang I’m sorry about that but I appreciate you hanging in there to listen and watch! Maybe different music next time? Or just not as loud?
@@raisingtherogershomestead3148 Not as loud, please. I had to turn off the sound and use subtitles. Great video though! Really appreciated seeing how you did your build!
I appreciate the feed back! Thanks again for watching!
Aye man everyone lives differently 🤷♂️ but 12,000 a year is 36,000 a year what? 😭
Thanks for watching! I have 3 children that could be paid that’s where the 36000 came from.
12,000 multiplied by the obvious THREE kids he has equals what?
