DIY Macrame Hack: How to Fix Short Working Cords, Macrame Tutorial for Short Working Cords
How to fix short working cords when making a diamond pattern with square knots.
Step 1:
Add new cord by tying a square knot around two filler cords. Be sure to leave out the two old working cords (the short one and the other.)
Step 2: Continue with diamond pattern, leaving the two old working cords out.
Step 3: Flip work around and weave the old working cords up through the back of your knots. For extra security sew the ends or glue them to the back before trimming.
In this video I'm using 5MM Braided Cotton Cord from Bobbiny.
You can find this cord here:

    These look very nice and not too difficult for a beginner. I can imagine that with longer cords and an appropriate clasp you could make a matching bracelet.

    • @KateKnots
      @KateKnots 3 роки тому

      @@griselnavarro9748 It may be your brush or the cord. The trick is to keep brushing and to get up to the very top where the twist begins. Just keep working at it and I'm sure it'll look fabulous
