Enjoyed this vlog -- and clicked to be a new SUB. I live near that section of the parkway -- I have been planning (but not done it yet) to drive my truck up the parkway and ride my bicycle back down to the Cherokee Reservation terminus...just as an FYI -- I planned that cause there are two sections of just elevation only -- on the Parkway from Mingus Mill to Waterrock Knob each one about 8 miles.

Bears don't give a crap about a "Trail Marshal"... lol. Oh, and "getting to the point where I need to use force"... Bwahaha.. Lucky for you the sow didn't hear you say that. Note to hikers... Unless you are packing heat (or bear spray for PETA types), you best back down the trail you came from and take a break for a while. Also, letting a sow w/cubs know you are there won't discourage her in the least from potentially mauling you if she feels threatened. Lastly, I never saw or heard a bear in your video. Good job if this was just click bait... All the above applies regardless

If I know it was time to make my makers, I wouldn't wait at home, nor a hospital, but the mountains. Climbing higher and higher to take my last breath and step walking into heavens. No fear, no compass, no regrets just walking, breathing the freshest air and allowing one foot take the lead and enter the heavens gate. Only other time I feel this happy is when I'm with family all together. This journey will be alone not to leave any mess go anyone to cleanup. Just me and my god I share the gate and enter his beauty. It's the ultimate piec e and no fears of where or how scary it is. I pray when God calls, I can do this 🤷‍♀️

ahhhhhh....turned away...so much for AMC hospitality....but that was an amazing hike and experience...I did not read the 5 pm part til after I'd watched and thought it was like all day hike...spectacular....so beautiful...stunning...and there is nothing like a NE mountain sunset....you thought PA had rocks....and now I'll let my silence speak my awe for me....

Brave hiking at night in the whites. Was something in the daylight walking it. I enjoyed it too!

Probably should carry more than a knife

It's why I carry a .44mag/ bear spray hiking. I know a .44 is heavy for a through hiker but carrying it will make you stronger and maybe keep you alive.
