Want to get into pump foiling and kite foiling. Is there a kit that I can do both with?
The front wing to pumpfoil is way too wide to kitefoil, you will need a longer mast and smaller front wing to kitefoil.

Yes you can learn without any foiling experience. Just get your Roam Kit, go to your local dock and start practicing.

I wish there would be a way to demo it before buying. It would be great if companies offer service something like Tenniswarehouse do to demo tennis racket. I think it would be a great way to sell gear. Im in the situation now. Want to buy new pumping gear, but without testing the wrong choice can be costly.

Yes flexibility helps. A shorter mast may be all you need through. I learned beach starts on a 60cm mast.

I really enjoy where you are going with the brand. Maximizing being on foil in any condition. I would like to open up a discussion on weight. You mentioned that your wife gets better glide because she is lighter. This is somewhat true, but maximizing glide implies maximizing the distance covered which is more dependent on the speed she can get. And because she is lighter, she has to work harder for the speed. I think a better way to put it, is that given the same wing, comparing your weight, she will be able to stay flying longer, but not necessarily farther. That being said, to get the same glide she would most likely need a smaller wing. Very best to you guys. Keep us all on foil. :)
Thanks for the comment! You make some really great and valid points. That's the fun of this, it's so new and we are all constantly experimenting. I can only share some of my own observations. My wife is 47kg and I am 82kgs. When we use the same setup (including this 1310 foil) and we both hop from the same location, she glides twice as far as I do, just letting gravity do it's things. That doesn't take into account generating speed for pumping. That comes next. BTW: You just gave me an idea for a video. Cheers!

For me it’s easier to jump straight to my feet. If you’re okay with the crashing then I would practice that way.

Saw your 11 beachstsrt video. Just curious is this basically the same as the axis 1310? The area and aspect ratio is very similar.
It is very similar but not exactly. So they may preform a little differently.

These look awesome but $2000 usd is steep. Why are they so much more expensive than a snowboard??
because it's carbon and hard to produce
These are very expensive to make. Everything has to be super tough and fit together perfectly. So it’s made from molded carbon fiber and heavy machined aluminum. Also, it’s a new sport so lower volume production. When it’s super popular and millions of people want them, the prices will come down. These will also last a lot longer than a snowboard.
Also, it worth noting that you don’t need to buy a seasons pass or tickets to use these:)
Erin. I think being open to someting as simple as a stool or mik crate can open up more locations. Hitting bottom has to take a toll on the foil.

Wishing i didn't already have all my gear and could go with yours. Would you consider doing a progression video starting from zero with rock/beach start only. I think the future is no docks/ladders involved.

Loving your content! I have been wondering about down river runs and if they have been done? Thinking like class I -ll current with small rapids. If this works, serious distance can be covered as well as surfing standing waves in between.
Thanks! I foiled some deep rivers. Not rapids yet. It felt really different and super fast. I want to experiment a lot more with rivers this year. There may be some potential for an amazing new activity.

Great looking gear! Like nothing else. Is the mast to fuse joint interchangeable with other brands? You may have serious competition for the Beta foil here.
Hey Matt, yes the doodad is interchangeable. That was my one issue with beta, you were locked into their one foil. I have to many different foiling discipline I want to do.
