Grenada is a beautiful country with wonderful people, and they are blessed to have the Leatherback as a frequent visitor. Hopefully in time they can appreciate how special - and rare - these animals truly are. It's a shame the adults in this video don't have the sense to tell this kid to have respect for the Leatherback, but change takes time. Education is key.

It is evident to me however that much of the uproar is because of the fact that you're all just overly sensitive racists (I believe the better part of your reaction lends itself to racism though). I have seen videos of white people far older than this child doing much stupider and much more malicious acts, however, what I have never seen under those videos is outraged personal attacks on the perpetrators' ethnicity. ummmm, do any of you even realise how strong these things are? That turtle probably doesn't even know it's carrying extra weight. Much smaller turtles than this one can knock over fully grown men much less a turtle of this size and a child of this size... he isn't doing the turtle any harm.
