About the Performers
Hye-Yun Chung Bennett
Beginning lessons at age four in Seoul, Korea, Hye-Yun Chung Bennett made her Carnegie Recital Hall Debut in 1979, earning rave reviews in the New York Times: “Absorbing from start to finish, assertive and incisive, and she showed that she has the facility and poise to handle a demanding program.” A prize winner at the Fifth International Harp Competition in Jerusalem, Israel in 1973, she was a harpist under the baton of Aaron Copland at the Carnegie Hall in 1980. Earning a B.M. degree from Ewha Womans University, Seoul, Korea, and an M.A. degree from California State University in Los Angeles. Hye-Yun was Teaching Assistant to Susann McDonald while pursuing DMA degree at University of Arizona in Tucson. As a scholarship recipient, she completed the Professional Study Plan at the Juilliard School and Robert Pace Piano Pedagogy Course at Columbia University. She was a pianist for the National Opera Company in Seoul, Korea.
Ms. Bennett taught harp and piano at Louisiana State University, the International Music Camp in Seoul, Brevard Summer Music Festival, and Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA.
She has received rave reviews for two CD albums: “Musical Colors” and “French Impressionist Harp Music” by Centaur Records.
Brandon Glick
Recognized by Martin Arts as outstanding performing musician, Organist and Pianist Brandon Glick is the Director of Music and Liturgy at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Stuart, Florida. At St. Mary's his roles include pianist, organist and choir director. Brandon is also the Artistic Director for Saint Mary’s Concert Series. He also serves as the part-time organist at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City. Brandon enjoys arranging flowers, cooking, introducing people to British comedy, and spending time with friends.
