Stud or Dud? 2 year review of Rivian R1T EV [2022 model]
Переглядів 1 тис.21 день тому
In this video I interview my friend about his ownership experience with the Rivian R1T electric truck. He shares his honest experience owning this truck for over two years with roughly 35k miles. I can tell you firsthand, this truck is FAST! And it looks way better than a Tesla Cybertruck, but that's just my opinion.
Surprising my son with a Jeep
Переглядів 3021 день тому
Our son is turning two this week and so I purchased a used Best Choice Products Jeep Wrangler Ride-on toy (Walmart's version of Powerwheels). I swapped the 12v battery for a new one with 15 amp hours which will more than double the 6 am hour battery that came with the toy from the factory. We tried this out on grass, dirt, and it worked best on pavement (no surprise).

Sold the Tundra for $22,000
Переглядів 811Місяць тому
I’m selling the Tundra because I don’t drive it much anymore now that I got a new F350. This truck has 112k miles, clean title and is in great shape. I have all maintenance records for it since I bought it 5 years ago from the dealer with 38k miles. Tires have 80% left. Brakes were done at 100k miles, tinted with ARE TW series cap and Decked Bed Drawer system. Contact me at russellrlayton@gmail...

Honda Ridgeline Tows Travel Trailer [R-POD Tour]
Переглядів 929Місяць тому
In this video, I give you a little tour of my buddy's trailer rental. Nathan has a Honda Ridgeline that has a tow capacity of 5,000 pounds. Though he normally tent camps, he figured a mid-summer camping trip (with a baby) would be more pleasant in a travel trailer, so he rented an R-Pod from Outdoorsy. Coleville Walker KOA Review: Gorgeous Campground in Mono County, CA

In this video, I share our recent experience camping at the Coleville/Walker KOA which is nestled in between Mammoth, CA and Lake Tahoe, CA. It's also only an hour south of beautiful Lake Tahoe. Our campsite featured an awesome 10' x 1...

Unfortunately, RVs are prone to issues and just about everyone knows that. I have noticed that the landing gear on this fifth wheel have seemed really slow and also like it struggles or skips sometimes like a gear is worn down. After trying to take the fifth wheel off my truck this afternoon to store it, it stopped moving up completely as it seems the motor or gearing gave out. Fortunately, thi...
Should have got the dually?? #payloadlimit
Переглядів 2682 місяці тому
In this video I go over the payload numbers on my specific truck and break down why it's crucial to look at payload numbers, not just trailer tow rating. This F350 diesel is rated to tow roughly 23,600 pounds, so I figured even with my 14,000 pound fifth wheel I'd have no problems getting close to my payload limits. Fortunately, I have a little payload to spare, but not a whole lot!

    Do you have your customers sign an agreement releasing you of all liability? What does licensing cost over all? What does the law require as far as things must have on your trailer to be legal?

    • @RollingWithRuss
      @RollingWithRuss 9 днів тому

      Under 26k pounds the only licenses I need were for the City and County. So business licenses to operate in each municipality and or county I serve. The truck and trailer of course require commercial auto insurance which isn’t cheap.

    So Safari mode with the sides up aren’t really meant to be driven like that at highway speeds. That’s why it’s flopping all around and the straps are loosening. Also why don’t you fold it all the way down when you tow? I feel like there are solutions to your complaints but you’re not using them. I run a soft topper on my Gladiator and if I need to haul something or want visibility I just fold it all the way down. I also only fold the sides up when I’m off road doing 30mph and under. But if it’s not for you, it’s not for you.

    • @RollingWithRuss
      @RollingWithRuss 9 днів тому

      That’s a fair assessment. I liked the safari mode when transporting my dog in the back in his kennel but when it rained or snowed, I kept the sides down to keep him warm and dry. Unfortunately, that was sometimes the case while towing. But you’re right, it’s all about use case and I was probably just using it wrong.

    love mine i got a xlt 250 crew cab long bed with the HO 6.7. Mine also did the instrument cluster turn off then it came back on but said the drive mode weren't available which made me pull over and restart the truck since I was towing and didn't want to lose town/haul. It hasn't done it since. Mine does the carplay thing but its different it will just have no audio but reconnecting it usually fixes it. One time it did just crash carplay every 45seconds to a minute no matter what I did but again it did it once on my way home from work and hasn't done it since.

    I have a similar setup but in the lariet ultimate, the XL, XLTs will have more electric and leak issues. For two boys two under two and massive car seats and all this it makes up for what it lacks. I will delete it in another 10k miles. Also the mileage and range is great compared to gas trucks. I plan on getting a smaller older toyota 4 runner or a vintage pajero for daily without kids.
