Man, Dylan blows my mind again 🤘😝
Holy *^%#!!! Those LYRICS!!!
Holly F that was good
GOOD LUCK PAM GIBSON Your pals from LATE NIGHT
Never seen an artist reinvent their own songs in so many different and varied ways
He reminds me of Tom Petty😅
His voice was still really good here. Was it in 85 that it started going?
Tony Marsico and Plugz (later the Cruzados) were awesome, and really drove this version of this song. One of the best Dylan performances ever.
here because of the Ray Padgett book with Tony Marsico interview….pure gold! loved hearing the story before seeing the video! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Why do I like this so much , great strip down groove. bass, tele Marshall’s, great drummer, and he is feeling it
is the drummer jon hamm?
Harmonica tech def got fired that night 😂
I thought this might have been inspired by Lou Reed's New York album, except that didn't come out until 5 years later...
Man that is bad,
1984. Bob decides to get in on the tail end of New wave fake punk. . Takes a bit of inspiration from Elvis Costello, Graham Parker, Nick Lowe/Rockpile, among others. Not original but it shows another side of Bob. I like it. I also like the album version. Somewhere in between would have made the song really great.

The Plugz
Bob in an ebullient mood haha next time keep the harmonic in his pocket
valiant effort trying to incorporate the harmonica 😅 great performance otherwise
Blowing in the Wind, Peter, Paul. and Mary originally Dylan's.
Those suits are fire!
Favorite Bob performance of all time. I wish he had recorded an album with these guys. If only, if only.
So was this a one night thing? He just randomly decided to do punk rock for a night, kill it, then go back to his usual?
Cool as shit. He was prob 43 and they had this stripped down punk thing going. Still fresh and performing like a new dude.
Wrong harmonica key
Horrible! Rsrsrsrsrrs
Will Timothy Chalemet sound like this?
Geez, when Bob wants to sing, it’s fantastic.
I'm 72. If I live to 144, this will not have grown old.
The start of Dylan trying not to sound like Dylan . Not that he ever did . A voice like " Sand & Glue " D B .
Bob not only meets Punk, but reinvents it. Amazing. He and the band give an historical performance.
The essence of rock n roll.
Channeling young Elvis Costello and Joe Strummer
My God, this is amazing! ❤
BRILLIANT BOB DYLAN
He was a bad ass. At this time he wanted to say something and he did. Incredible. I was blown away and I was 22.
Jokerman dance to the nightingale tune, bird fly high by the light of the moon.... Distant ships sail into the mist, you were born with a snake in both your fists while a hurricane was blowin' Just brilliant lyrics smh
a religious experience
Wow. Live performance standing up to studio version. Magical memories of an intimate, similar Hollywood blvd stint. So lovely. Hello Mr. Eno, wherever you may be. ;)
God, I dig that drummer. I love how he just laughs when Bob doesn’t have the right harmonica and how he keeps in the pocket and then when it’s over he stands up, like “Yes! We did it!”
Bob....on fire, clearly loving the song, the band, the situation.... Turning it up to 11.... A master, of disguise, at play.
The Strokes 15 years before The Strokes
My goodness. This is the best I’ve ever heard him. Why didn’t he play with these guys all the time, forever and ever?
Ladies and gentlemen, The ReplaceBobs!!!🤘🤘😎
Funny that it was their last year as a band " The Plugz " 84-77 Better late than never. Charlie Quintana R.i.P
Bobaroo Banzai
holy shit
It’s laughable what some people consider a good performance, absolute bullshit through rose tinted specs and I’m a Dylan fan.
sly and rob is much more lit than this one ..
Wow this is a crazy version of this song. Love it!
I love you Bob
