Yaa we are planning to move to Portugal it's just taking some time. We have a business we need to sell then our house to sell and everything we own lol.. Looking at the Silver coast area.

If you are looking for a more peaceful life that´s a good choice. If you want an alternative look farther North at the city of Viana do Castelo or Ponte de Lima.

We ate at a mix of places in Lisbon. Some of the best seafood we had was in Nazare Portugal.

The food was very good. We are making our plans to move to Portugal next year. Have a lot to sell to get ready.

As long as you are not getting paid charging a customer then that is ok. Otherwise you need to get a permit from the state park. It is a badge paper you have on you when out shooting. We have to buy one every year plus we need to have 2 million in insurance made out to the state park for weddings we do. If you are local you also need a local business license before you can get the permit as you need to pay taxes on anything you make each year as a local tax. You also get a parking pass for your car with your permit so you dont need to pay all the parking fees at the state parks. If from out of town you can buy a one day shooting permit for photographers coming into the area to shoot a wedding they are getting paid to shoot and so on. People getting married on the beach at a state park have to pay a $150 beach wedding permit. Most of the time the beach wedding service they hire will get that for them. Thats what we do as we do weddings on the beach. If you have a drone no drones can be used in Gulf Shores at all. I see videos with them being used but Gulf Shores has banned them.

Been working on the beach going back almost 25 years now. We always called it the Orange beach point many people here did. I don't even remember any signs saying anything years ago. The better ? may be when did they announce it is called the Alabama point and put up any signs saying that. We worked out there when almost no one ever went there and they did not have the parking they have now. Back when the rocks were pilled up very high you had to climb up 8 to ten feet up on and long before they made the man made beach area you see now. Also almost non of the tall condo buildings were on the beach so we could shoot to the side and you did not see any of the buildings you see now. We used to be able to pull off the road and shoot on the beach all over the place back then. Now it's all built up. We even shoot on the beach back in the oil spill and get the oil on us messing things up when that happened. I still have photos from that some place showing all the oil on the beach.
