HC's S4 state reminds me of Zato's higher high-tier placement during pre-S3; his kit can make it easy for HC to rob games, but his low health makes it easy to rob games off him from small mistakes.

Been playing HC since 2023 March, so about a year and a half now. My friend was already one of the best HCs, so I developed very quickly.

@ do you recommend sticking with him? Or switch off. I’m still very new (64 hours) but can learn quickly if it’s worth it

He's still good; you just have to keep in mind that mistakes are more costly now that he has lower health. Admittedly: I enjoy playing Dizzy, but I acknowledge that HC is the better character for competing

​@@aoiyoru2762 I'll say if you found him interesting and did not feel discouraged when losing a lot when first picking him up, then I said you will have great times with HC. I've been playing this game for 4 months now, with more than 100 hours total on the game; around 80% of them are spent on learning Chaos, and I'm current at floor 6. I would argue that if you want to climb tower fast, then do not pick HC since you'll spend most of the time practicing "everything" about him. HC is the kind of character you have to know what you're doing and what you "should" do in certain situations; if you mess up, then you basically ded. But if you decide to stick with HC, I'll recommend you watch lots of high-level gameplay to learn what is best for him to do in certain situations. DO NOT put too much effort into learning combo when you start playing him; you'll want to learn what high-level players do in most matches, such as corner carry, fast reload after steady aim, control your resources and not let the muscle memory do only focus or reload, always have you gun out and shoot when approaching,... Only practice 1 combo and spend the rest of your practice on other stuff like I mentioned. If you do it like that, you'll not end up learning bad habits such as spamming Steady Aim or At The Ready like some low-floor players. You'll want to learn how to do stuff like Magatsu and do easier things like spam Steady aim will not help you in the long run.

@MagatsuRen makes sense, figured as much, even I'm adjusting to the new effects of Ky's SS (Shocked State).

Won't be able to use Clone FRC aggressively anymore, but his combos and playstyle will remain relatively the same. That, and the universal damage nerfs will mean he gets maybe 1 or 2 more chances against his subpar mus if the player ever slips up. I also wanna grind Dizzy for some time after I get home from my road trip.

I just don't like playing HC vs Kami, and Testament was one of my mains prior to HC.

It's about knowing "what" answers "what", as all buttons used to lead into her specials have a concrete answer if you know it's coming. The general consensus is: -The hop on Pineberry can either be interrupted or, at worse, fuzzy jumped (treat it like a budget Foudre Arc). -5H can be backdashed > throw (may not work with heavy backdash). -2H/2D can be 6P'd. -While cS > rekka starter IS true on block, she needs to be near you land cS (which, with proper use of FD, you can fuzzy mash before she recklessly tries to run in with cS).

You can 6p when she resets the loop or 5p even

2D > 236S > IAD (delayed) jS is a safejump. Works on everyone. When the opponent is conditioned to block, doing forward drift FRC jD instead can mess up the opponent trying to fuzzy block the safejump.
