Here's the Saunders Gallopers being set up for the 2017 Weeting Rally, using the GoPro Hero4 Session on time lapse mode - although I did keep running out of battery power so it's not the full set up. Shot over two days, taking 1 photo every 5 seconds.

I knew these engines (Bonzor Tom & Saucy Sue) back in the 1970s when they were owned by Mr C Cole in Essex.

burrel 777 was grand dads engine a plough engine sister 776 now at museum of east Anglia life last time i saw her was at wheeting rally 76. i an also a member of burrel

Poor old burrell roller wont survive long being thrashed like that :(
What's up with British engine drivers constantly opening and shutting the regulator when in tight spots? I usually leave a bit of steam on and just use the reversing lever. This is especially good if you need to do a multi-point turn as you can just keep on throwing it back and forth, nice and smooth not jerk, jerk, jerk!

had seen this one rusting away at Ongar - Glad to see it looking so well and to know that it will have a future and escape the cutting torch.
Hopefully more can be saved. Ireland could do with a few more engine considering weve got next to none of our own.

Looking at the two road rollers it's easy to see where Mamod models got the design for their model steam models. Beautiful machines.

Ohhhh !! I didnt see this, working ! Puzzled....How does the plough go back up field ? I dont see any form of engine attached to it. I can of cause see the engine pulling it back. Is there another engine at the other end of the field ? I never knew steam engines did ploughing, I thought that would have been left to the heavy horses.....So interesting :)
Yes, there is an engine at either end of the field and they take it in turn to pull the plough up and down the field, which is attached to the wire rope on the engines.

A shame that she's only done 2 tours this year and is now returning to the NNR for the majority of the 2017 season other than working the trains to Cromer.
