@@jonathancook1731 yeah this is pretty much what I'm doing as well. It's so boring and the fact that we don't know when (or worse, if) the actual new content is coming doesn't inspire me to invest in the game anymore. If I hadn't put so much time and money into this game I would have quit tbh.

@@ToshiroFan100 community engagement helps with keeping me into things tbh- if I have to enjoy things like this in silence I lose interest fast, I need that social setting where I can discuss it with others. Plus I'm a moderator on the cotc subreddit so I can't just drop out haha. But yeah, the general atmosphere has been really negative since the recent roadmap and it's really killing my will to engage with the community (which like I mentioned also kills my interest in the game). It's a bit of a double edged sword for me; no community means no drama, but I'm sure that without the community keeping me into the game I would have quit ages ago. But yeah, the whole thing in general is just not sparking joy whatsoever right now. And that's not only the community's fault, unfortunately. It's such a shame as it's such a good game :(

@@felo507yt my account isn't even bad (I'm only missing four characters in the game and none of them is good enough to make a difference) but I'm still just so tired haha. Good on you for not spending anymore, I should really follow that example (I probably will until they actually reveal the next storyline). The game's really been doing its best to sour people on playing it lately what with the lack of content and yeah, the abysmal rng :/

Nah not a dumb question, the game just hides them away really well haha. In the game board exchanges for wealth/power/fame, if you scroll down there'll be items called "dice polishstone" for each influence. Grab a bunch of those for every influence and then talk to a shopkeeper in hell to unlock fortune III :-)

It sucked, mostly because the whole reason I started pulling was "I'm gonna get him now so I'm not forced to go to pity to get him on a future SB". Game says haha fk you you're gonna go to pity now. Blegh. I do have the entire SB pool but I shed blood and tears for them tbh. They're all at least A1 (Odette A2, Dorothea and Lianna A3), except Nivelle of course. But they're some of the most empty pulls I ever got in this game.

@BruniPlaysOctopath Ahhhhh, I see. But even then, tho geez, my friend has done a few, and he is the reason why I never do them. I don't think he has ever not gone to pity on a Shitty Blaze. Being Odette, Leon (Didn't even reach pity ran out at 170, so he wasted 4.5k for nothing), and Canary. I'm glad you somehow see the good side of this being a collector. I hope future spawns don't treat you this badly.

@@ilovesylveon3653 yeah that's very relatable haha :( Odette I put in 60 pulls with zero 5*, Titi took me 100 pulls to get one 5* (I did get Titi herself), on Zenia I went to pity to get Odette, Leon took me 70 pulls, and now Nivelle was all the way to pity again. Only Canary and Ditraina were lucky for me (I got Canary on the second pull on her banner, then on Ditraina's I got 2x Ditraina + 1x Canary on the second pull). It's truly a brutal banner, that's why I try to get new ones asap so that I'm not "forced" to pity later. Oh well at least I can save for a while now.

@@BlueRhaps0d1 I really can't afford to spend any more on the game for a while, and I'm completely out of rubies. I'm afraid she'll have to wait until next year 🥲

@@BruniPlaysOctopath Next year's a possibility...but since EX Fiore's no longer featured, you might end up skipping her for someone else. Who knows? They might even release EX Tatloch and EX Bargello next year.

I've spent way too much at anniversary to justify buying another 900 paid rubies, especially non discounted, to finish the banner now I'm afraid. So I guess I'll just never get her. Oh well

I'm sure I could do it in two knowing how the fight works now, but I went in blind and just wanted to get the rewards, I don't really care much about doing it optimally. I mean there's a bunch of people who did it with one team without gacha A4s, I'm sure there's lots I can improve. But I got my rewards so I'm probably never touching this fight again haha.

I thiiiink she is a thief actually haha. Wind is a popular thief element, and the sound effect when she does her HAHAHAHA attack is the same as when thieves throw daggers. So I guess she's just a very dancery thief, lmao 💃🏼

Oooo I could have done that as well, would have been a nice way to test my new Sertet haha. I kinda wanna try some of the next fights with some of the less popular weaknesses to use some units that aren't used a lot, but we'll see how much effort I'm willing to put in haha. Gonna have to grind out some adversaries after today's pulls either way 😅

@@jonathancook1731 definitely! Auguste was the easiest of the three in general imo. Herminia had an annoying gimmick and Tytos hit very hard, Auguste just... drops a countdown and shifts weaknesses. Boring tbh haha.

@@jonathancook1731 thanks! And yeah that's always been one of my fav parts as well haha. I initially started this channel to show off that I could beat hard content without having to follow the meta. Of course nowadays with me having almost every character in the game, I do use the OP ones as well, but still... Ngl I love Canary because of the same reason haha, she invalidates so many bossfights which gives me the room to play with my other units some more. Never thought I'd have a dodge tank as a perma teammate but here we are :-)

Yeah I kinda hate doing single seal pulls but I lack the patience to save until ten haha. Glad it worked out for once :') Did you get anything off the first step?

@@BlueRhaps0d1 six by now, five soon! Still missing Sofia and Fiore EX, Levina, Agnes, and 2B. Eltrix was still missing at the time of this video (I grabbed her with the paid selector), and with the paid selector compensation I can get my Herminia whom I was also missing at the time of this video

Cerna actually has that one equipped, that's how I fixed the speed issue

@@BlueRhaps0d1 you did better than I did, my results were nice and subpar as ever (dryass full pity for Sazantos with like Yukes and only two more 5* on the way there). But oh well... First I'm hearing of an octopath day release though, who's coming?

@@BlueRhaps0d1 yeah I did end up picking Eltrix! Her being good is the cherry on top, but I mostly picked her because I think she's a really cool character haha, and the 130ish pulls I threw at both of her banners didn't get me a copy, so I figured I'd grab her now.

Must be nice to be lucky when it matters... couldn't be me haha. I'm set to start working on Canary dupes when she gets added but I can't afford a single one more or I'll be digging into my Canary savings already. Wish I could just grab an extra Prim EX dupe to start working on a buff extender, but I don't think I should at this point. Don't think I've ever been in a "secure" place with shards :( congrats on the luck though, even if I'm jealous haha.

@@BruniPlaysOctopath I haven't been putting in awakening stones to travelers until they have an awesome AIV or Ultimate other than AI. I could have taken maybe a dozen to AIV with the amount of stones I have gotten for those, but awakening shards will serve me better in the long run. Also, I am not sure if I am lucky when it matters. On collabs my luck has been complete buns. I had to exchange for A2 and only got 4 4.5/5* along the way. I had to exchange for Fredrica. I did find a Roland along the way there. I found a copy for Odio-O and Odio-S and exchanged for Odio-O's A1. My luck has been better for Memory Travelers. I got two copies of Richard in 80 guides. I got Alaune on the first two steps. Same thing with Eltrix.

@@jonathancook1731 yeah, fair enough, I'm kinda the opposite, collabs really like me. Got A2 in one pull, Edea and Adelle both on free pulls, Roland and Fred in iirc 60, and all of LAL in 60 pulls I think? Meanwhile the MT is like "so I heard you like full pity with one bad 5* on the way" every other banner. It's so irritating. Wish I had more average luck rather than this all or nothing bs I keep getting.

I really hate getting dupes like Fiore and Eliza (or in my case, Theo and Heathcote, but they're from the same era in the game so it's practically the same). At this point in the game I'm like please just give me some recent 5* for once? Nonya and Aedelgard are cool though, congrats there!

@@aurorain2853 ugh :( Molu has a neat A4 at least so that's not the worst, but so many empty pulls is just sooo demoralising. Did you pull on any of the banners? Had better luck there, hopefully?

@@BruniPlaysOctopath Yeah, works towards that A4 for her so not a total waste. As for pulls...nah, I actually emptied out my stash on Odio from pitying him so now it's saving up for the next Sacred Blaze banner. 😅 Haven't pulled on one of those in a long time so I'd love to pick up Canary off it, or potentially any others along the way that I missed out on.

@@Caterwaulin same, at Signa as well, and I stubbornly kept going until I got another dupe 🥲 took me 1200 so it's not too bad..... it helps that there's almost no new units coming anytime soon though. It's okay, we can take time to rebuild after some anniversary yolo pulls, haha.

@@jonathancook1731 yeah, but now I can save the shards (of which I don't have many). I don't need his U10 I think, rather use the shards on other dupes, Canary shouldn't be too far off. As for why: idk I just wanted to haha 😭 It's anniversary, it was pay day yesterday, and I just wanted to do some more pulls. It's fine, there won't be much else coming up for a few months so I won't be spending for a while (I'll get one more round of passes after my current one expires so I'll have 200 paid rubies to do step 1 for the summer units, that's all I have planned to pay & pull for until Solistia). I'm definitely leaning towards Eltrix more, I've seen some videos with her new skills and she does seem pretty great. It also helps that she's one of the coolest characters in the cast, that always makes me more inclined to want them. Plus I threw like 70 pulls at both of her banners without getting her, so perhaps I should..... I'm leaving the selector alone for now, gonna think on it for a bit. Thanks for the input!
