I killed hector with a stick. I found a stick (it was called a branch by the inventory name spot ting but I call it a stick anyways) on the ground in my first outpost, I picked it up, and found I could use it as a weapon, it can go into my inventory, And it doesn’t break. From that point onward, I made it a stick only run.

SC always runs like trash the first time you get into it for at least 10 to 20 mins - got to give it time to cache the shaders and stuff - it gets better. If you have a good GPU leave quality on High/Very High (lower settings seem to tax your CPU). Planet Volumetric Clouds should be High or lower - this seems to be a frame killer. Give it time to all settle - it gets better (especially when you're out of the cities). DEFINITELY have it installed on an M.2 - otherwise things will take forever to load in. Oh and you can increase your walk speed with the mouse scroll wheel. Welcome to the 'verse mate :)
