Ops 17 is awesome, now you can do the Saturday event for 100 tokens each time, and then you can get a free Franklin in 10 weeks. :) Also, the fleet commander building should be built immediately at Ops 15 because it gives you free building currency every day.

When your Talla and Turas are maxed out, it's a good time to advance further. :) I wouldn't spend too much on the Phindra, because you'll need the crystal on the Envoy at Ops 16 once you level up again. :)

A great crew to use against hostiles until you unlock Pike, is Moreau as captain and Chen and Tlaan on the sides. Once you unlock Pike than using Pike as Capt with Moreau and Chen(For going against Explorers and Battleships) or Tlaan(When going against Interceptors or Surveys) will get you through most hostiles.

Get in the habit of doing things one step at a time, the storyline missions are designed to try to get you to level up quick and the only way to do that is by spending actual money, if you get in the habit of refining you materials daily and do your daily missions you'll be in a much better position later down the road, What i do is focus on buildings first, then research, then ships. Then i go up another level. This game requires you to get faction ships and specialty ships regularly after ops 20 in order to keep progressing. So focusing on getting the botany bay and vidar early will help you out tremendously later on, as well as finding out which of the 26 uncommon faction ships you want to go for, as the grind keeps getting worse and worse.

Each officer works in a certain way with certain ship and each officer has the: 1. Captain Maneuver, 2. Officer's ability, and 3. Below Deck ability Which will work with certain ship for a certain situation. I assume, there won't be any "Random placement of the officers on the Ship" ... Right? 🙂 LLAP.
