We assure you that per manufacturer specifications all combustible material meet the clearances for each of these fireplaces. Yes, we are happy with the flame visual and heat output. There are multiple options for set up, modern with media and no logs, or two different styles of logs. Back panel has 4 different options and there are two sizes available -- 30" and 36". The design of the ignition system will auto-relight if the pilot is blown out. That said, it can handle an occasional gust but not a constant wind. Note, all fires will need to be protected in windy areas. The heat output is 55,000 BTUs. The flame is a centered campfire burner. Basically, a center flame designed not to contact the logs around it to reduce soot build up on the logs or around the fireplace.

Normally, the bbq grills in kitchen areas are held in place by weight only. The pedestal or cart grills will be secured. Sorry for the late reply.
