Wow the end of an era

As a thanks for involving me in this project, here are some of the references I made in the island design. - The Bubbles aren’t just randomly there. They’re the same ones that you see on Ethereal Island. - The Pink Goo should be a bit obvious: The same plasma goo that you find on the Mirror Islands, and on Pentumbra’s legs. I had this idea where the quads built the island together, so this was where it came from. - The Green Substance oozing out of the middle platform is meant to resemble Oogiddy’s poison. I thought of the slime acting as a sort of glue when combined with other chemicals, thus keeping the platform and podium together. - The purple crystals surrounding the islands are meant to resemble Shards, which are the ethereal’s main currency. I had the thought of having Rhysmyth be responsible for the creation of these shards, since they’re not real (As evidenced by the transparency). - The water is meant to resemble Whail. Surprising? I thought of maybe having the Horizon’s atmosphere transform the plasma into clear water. If you’re wondering why the plasma monsters wouldn’t have transformed, it’s because there isn’t enough plasma for such a transformation to occur. It’s sort of like how solute is attracted to water, but in this case, air is attracted to plasma. - The wooden floor is meant to resemble Vhenshun, and how it’s basically made almost entirely out of wood. The rock-like background also references Vhenshun’s pickaxe. Vhenshun would have been a major part of the creation of the Horizon, as it was responsible for nearly the entire island. - The color of the books surrounding the island are each references to a certain element. The same can be said about the pictures on the books (Some are more obvious than others). The Plasma Book shows a picture of Ghazt’s orb. The Shadow Book has a picture of the shadow element. The Mech Book contains a picture of Vhenshun’s head. The Crystal book includes a version of Rhysmyth with most of it cut off and the colors slightly jumbled (By accident. Oops). The Poison book includes a picture of some of Oogiddy’s poison. You’ll also see Oogiddy’s legs and the number 6, referencing Ethereal Workshop Wave 6. The Poison book also contain a reference to the Ethereals release date, as it says 2013 (Year of release) to 2024 (The year the Ethereals ended). - The hands surrounding the bottom of the island are meant to resemble the same Krystillium hands from Life-Formula. However, it’s not krystillium as it was unlikely that Monculus would ever find the Horizon (It’s an ethereal-only area). - The background contains one poorly-drawn picture of each quad. Looks like most of them were cut off, though. Some of them should be a bit more visible in the Individual Sound videos, though. - Speaking of the wall, the details are very subtle, even down to the color scheme itself. The gradients on the wall are meant to resemble the most stable and unstable element (The dark purple on the left is meant to be Plasma, while the light green on the right is meant to be Poison). Yeah, I think I put too much thought into the island design. Either way, I’m really happy with how the project turned out! Looking forward to what’s coming forward!
