For this dev log, I did a lot of small features. I implemented Unreal's plugin Nanite, added a clothing system to the project, added the new region (the chamber of fate), started AI behavior tree work, added more to the HUD, and created the main menu for the game. I love your ideans homie awesome work on creating the remake, for the remastered human version i wish to see the level bosses look alike, the main bosses like Bombs Away, Slime Time Toybarn Encounter, Making Buzz Lightyear suit an improvement as it has colour that glows, what's Al's toy Barn gonna look like with his Space Land ever and other stuff for it, please make the remake without techinal difficulties so my siblings wont complains on anything wrong, PLEASE MAKE THE REMAKE GAME. have it release this year. I'm excited to see the next dev log when it comes out. I've gone through this game at least twice in the past couple of years so seeing this game get updated with engine improvements is amazing to see. Hopefully more people can end up helping with the development process.

@@Level_reDesign Take your time, king. Here's hoping that the timing plays out that us adults can play a year-2000 game while seeing Toy Story 5 in 2026. If we don't have tie-in movie games anymore, at least we can hope to have this.
Love this. Quick question. How do you do the distance to turn on and off lights. Thanks btw
On all light types besides directional light sources, you can adjust a variable property called something like "Max render distance" or something along those lines. Adjust that. The float parameter for distance is in centimeters.

Mayors of Albion was my favorite project to work on actually! It was only cancelled because Unity (the engine I made that project in) did a ton of shady business practices shortly after this video, which made me feel like it was to high risk (technically doing a copyrighted project, and Unity doing shady stuff to the project). I did start porting it to UE5, and it looked amazing. However, at the time, I just DID NOT want to redo 2 and a half months of work all over again lol. I think I may return to it one day though. MOA has a ton of potential

I spent about a month figuring out what I wanted to remake back in October. Funny enough, Toy Story 3 was a close contender, but since it was playable on Series X, I decided not to go with that one lol

Really cool video, but I'd suggest taking the Worther's Original out of your mouth before you record the narration.
Yeah, it is actually my mic. It is an older one that, no matter what I do in pre or post processing, is not able to remove that, and it makes certain lows/mids sound more airy/weird than it should. I will be buying a newer, higher quality mic very soon though!

Progress is going well! I've gotten a lot done in the last month. I've been working on the script for the second episode, and I originally wanted the episode out by tomorrow. However, I will have to push it back just a tiny bit to get the edit done! Expect it very soon though!

I turn 33 in a couple weeks and came to say that this is one of the stand out games I played as a kid around 10 or so. I have a fond memory of being kinda scared of the "gunro spider" boss. My brother 4 years younger than me, had to have his tonsils and adenoids removed, along with tubes put in his ears. When he came home he was miserable. My "gift" to him to make him feel better was letting him watch me face my fear and defeat the boss in this game that scared me 😆(he was more obsessed with the game than I was) Once you finish this one, you should remake the A Bug's Life game!! We loved that one too

This game was one of my favorite as a kid I had it on PC, so was Sonic 3D Blast also from Travellers Tales. I still have the original discs but they won't run on a modern system.
I actually had missed that TT made Sonic 3D Blast when I went through their Wikipedia page. That's really neat
There's nothing wrong with AWS. You almost certainly used a weak or leaked password. Use a Password Manager like 1Password.
This was my favourite game as a kid. Not for the Toy Story universe but for the platforming and puzzles. There was so much to see and do.

Love the series! How did you add the Buzz animations though? Did you have a package or made them yourself?
I used Mixamo (a free animation site) to get placeholder animations in, but I plan on redoing all animations from scratch myself. I think buzz needs something like 35 animation states currently lol
@@Level_reDesign Oh yes, the good old Mixamo. I didn't recognize them for some reason. I'm really looking forward to your second part. Hopefully, if you make the animations you will include the procedure of how you are making them! I'm somewhat competent in modeling some basic stuff, blueprints and even some basic rigging, but I wasn't able to make animations ever. Always avoided them as the plague! hahaha 35 animation states sounds crazy...
Yeah, I haven't animated anything more than blockout animations. If I find that I'm not capable of making high quality animations, then I will probably pay one of my professional friends to do it 😂 But I will at least make the blockouts and try the full animations myself lol
Creating video games would make me hate video games.
I don't hate video games, but I will say that I barely play anything anymore. I usually play one night a week, and work on this or other stuff 6 nights a week
