I didn’t know the gang still existed. My dad and his friends were from Los Padrinos back in the 70s. It was a handful of guys in the gang. As a child I remember my dad friends use to get together with their friends and do bbqs and family gatherings . They didn’t have underage gangs members and they didn’t shoot each neither. They used their fist to fight. Also, they had pride and you could tell by the way they dressed. The woman also looked sharp. Not like current times. Gangs members and their girls looked like they just rolled out of bed and go outside in their slippers and sweatpants. The pride is gone. My dad and his friends are in their 70s if they are still alive. They used to hang out on imperial and pine street , century and State Street and at other locations. Original gang was in Lynwood. Damn memory lane of my childhood. All of his friends ended up in prison, dead, or strung up on drugs and homeless. The cycle continues . Not to talk shit but what’s up with the Edgar’s being the new gang members . Jeezus .., I thought the gangs in the late 90s & early 2000s looked raggedy but now they look weak .
