Nissan 350z Vortech Mishimoto Fan upgrade to Spal Fans
Переглядів 1,6 тис.3 роки тому
Hey all, no youtuber here. Just strung together some videos on upgrading my Mishimoto fans because the engine is heat soaking when the outdoor temps are over 90 degrees and idling goes over 20 minutes with the AC on. Hope it helps someone out. Thanks, Jim
Is that an fe34?
4 years ago, so I am not really sure. The club member that was running it is no longer active, but maybe he will see your post by chance.
@@JS-ny9ge looks like my old insane fe34 mine was white.
Was your new steering wheel off center after install? Mine is I don’t know why….did this yesterday
Just pull the car in straight. Reinstall the wheel a notch around and reattach. I did miss it once and it was crooked. Just take it off and adjust it. Hope that makes sense.
@@JS-ny9ge I tried that thanks for the quick reply man 👍💪
Best race ever!
You have them wired up to your factory wiring harness correct? And if so have you ever had any problems with them blowing? a fuse
None at all. Yes wired up to the factory wiring harness.
That was pretty awesome I'd love to get in a race with my bj 42. Awesome video an good race
Hi, thanks for the great video. Hard to find specific videos relating to my problem. Which SPAL fans did you get? Thanks
Part Number is: 30101522. VA10-AP50/C61A
Do you have a part number for the fans?
Brilliant race
What are you running stock are most videos i see of the boat she's porposing alot & are you using trim tabs?
Hi Guys. Have you modified anything on your boats? Or all original? Has anyone modified the hull/bottom? That he slides better. Normally the boats always bounce. Where should the focus be? Strengthening/replenishing the hull is an advantage. Will convert to Twinn drive.
hi james...exelent video !!! do you know wich bateries are they using ? they are 2x4S but how many mah ? are they allowed to use trim tabs in these races ?
Not sure Edward. I don’t have one of those boats. I will say on 2x4s setups I typically run 4000mah to 4400mah. Total 8000 to 8800.
Nice video 👍 I subscribed!!
Swapping mishimotto connector worked out ok? Did you have run a separate relay or anything?
No just wire it in ti the existing plugs.
Loving the colors! Is the Z wrapped? If so what brand/color?
OEM color. Think they only did it two years.
I am having the same issue I believe, are these the high performance 1300cfm? Did this fix your issue
Yes, absolutely fixed my issue. I have parked many times since with the AC on sitting in a parking lot in Texas at 97 degrees with no overheating and all is cool and good. I do not recall the CFM on these. They were recommended in a forum for this problem so that is what I purchased.
@@JS-ny9ge can you find out possibly? How much was each fan? Just trying to buy the same fans. Engine bay is heat soaked
@@JS-ny9ge also how much hp are you running? Do you think these would be fine for 700whp?
@@codybashaw3605 Can't answer that one as I am running conservatively at about 400hp. I will note though, the issue the fans solve is overheating when you are sitting perfectly still on a hot day with the A/C on. Once you get rolling and the air is blowing through your engine compartment the fans really play very little if any role at all as I understand it. So, when you are sitting still you have really no boost occurring just idling. Should work fine logically for that purpose. When I had the original Mishomoto fans there were no overheating issues at all driving around ONLY when I sat still for a long time.
Do the black and blue wires from the spal fans get spliced in the same black and blue wires from the mishimoto fan stock plugs ? In other words is it blue with blue and black with black ?
Yes. Exactly as you described.
Embarking on a Vortech so this is super helpful
nice
Twins sound so cool !!!!!!
Dope, saved just in case my mishi fans act up lol.
Mine already did smh 🤦
@@recklessrunnerz3659 what did? Your mishimoto?
@@NoDidddy hell yea just wouldn't keep my shit all the way cool over heated a couples times on the track last summer. They did okay once it got cooler out tho
@@recklessrunnerz3659 yea I’m hearing stock or spals are better. Haven’t had any issues yet in NYC weather.
@@NoDidddy yea ima be ordering some spals later on today gettn ready for the new setup hopefully everything works out this time also thinking about running a coolant swirl pot

This is the first low water bridge as you come down Flite Acres road. Yes, I think it is called Hidden Valley Road.
