Was a nice day to get it out.
@@wmilam it was but I won't have them on the streets again until spring.
Minty! 🤌 Mine are tucked away and there's 8in of snow outside 😥
@@83glxcrusin97 it was a nice weekend here. Actually was just moving cars around and thought I would get Colypso on camera.
sounding good!
Thanks for the update.
What brand lift is that? Looks great..
@@heartpumper77stockchannel4 tuxedo
Nice work. I’m still jealous of that lift! Wish I had the room for one. I’ll be there soon enough with project 91 trans install and also pulling engine out of the Cobra over winter to tackle a few things. The trick to installing the T5 or any manual is to have a helper depress the clutch fork while you push the trans into the pilot bearing… goes in like butter vs otherwise fighting it.
@@elementl1166 why are you pulling the engine out of the cobra? Send me photos of the 91 project!
Darn rear oil pan seal leaks and I’ve attempted to RTV it to no avail. Rear main is bone dry. Installing a new Moroso oil pan with billet ends. Also wanna clean up some parts that got overspray from when I painted the car. Plan on spraying engine bay while I’m in there and install a MM K member while I’m at it. Already have all of their other suspension components and could use the extra room for getting to plugs and so forth. Will shoot you some pics of ‘91.
Your car is something sweet! Mines been quite the journey rebuilding over the last 8 years.. was fun to get it out this summer! Long live the Verts! I get Compliments everywhere 💪
@@83glxcrusin97 thank you and thanks for watching. Vert are funny. I never had one up till 8 or so years ago. I sold it and bought a hardtop and it just wasn't the same. Mine has a long way to go before it could be called nice looking but it's a project, it fills the gap of tinkering and I can do anything I want.
Maybe some strategic padding on the lift to protect the asset?
As usual an excellent video. Based on the oil flow you showed us on the plate I am leaning towards intake. Not saying the rear main is innocent. This is one of those times an electric oil pump would be handy. Then you could pressurize the system without running the engine.
Ah this one slipped by me. Just found it. Glad to see you got some more space. I’m sure that and the lift will serve you well.
@@elementl1166 hey buddy, glad to hear from you. Yes, the lift is great. Makes all those projects like dropping transmissions a piece of cake.
What tailpipes are in there? They look nice!
@@vrm86gt I believe they are 3" pypes from LMR. Bought them last rear and installed them in the same video we welded on subframe connectors.
Man, nice new shop! Was the lift already there or did you install it?
Had the lift put in. Honestly the garage was setup perfectly for it.
I've got an 89 Mustang that I was able to do the 4c to 5.0 swap about 13 years ago. I swapped out everything that was 5.0 related so I completely understand a lot of stuff that you mentioned in this video. As of right now I've been going through this car to restore it and I've been working on it for about 5 years now. I decided to go with a carburetor this time around the biggest problem I have is I want to keep my AC so it seems to me that I'm going to have to keep the computer do you know if there's a way around this?
@@xonsightx sounds like a great project. If you are referring to stepping the idle up when you turn it on and cutting it off at high rpm I think you will need a computer of some sort. I would look into a vintage air system first though. They make kits for old carb cars and they have foxbody kits.
As always I love your approach to videos. Love that lift!
Thank you!
Nice!!
Nice new space and a Lift too!
Yes, bought the house for the garage!
Nice setup.
@@motofarmmx2430 thanks!
Glad to see you back!
@@puzzlefox5.076 thanks!
Did not make it this year, thank you for the coverage.
Sorry you didn't make it, maybe next year. Thanks for watching!
I used to belong to that club, we went out on the Ford Romeo oval in my 85 GT 132 mph.
@@bmflanman very cool that's fast in a fox. The fastest I have been in anything was when my wife gave me the Rusty Wallace experience at MIS. I rode with a professional driver 180 mph right against the outside wall. Biggest rush of my life!
Look forward to seeing that new top.
And Mr Mach 1 was there ha ha ha 4:08 is the wife's GT350 and my 70 Mach 1
It was a good turnout!
If I wasn't having issues with my Cougar I would have came out to this show. Can't wait to see the new top on your car.
Hope your going to foxfest. Want to see what you have been up to with it.
@dadsfoxbodygarage I will be. I just have to get the starting issue figured out. I think it's a bad ground. Unfortunately, I haven't really done much to it. If I didn't already purchase my spot and have plans with the car this summer, I would be pulling the old 3.8 out and getting the Coyote swap going.
Love your foxes! I got a auto 87' GT convertible. Installed 3.73 gears, flowmaster exhaust catback and Sub frame connectors. Best mods so far.
Thanks!
Thanks for showing them!
For sure! I just think these cars can be so fun and can be made into anything you want. My two are so different from each other and I love them both.
Why only have one fox when you can have two! Great ride along Rich. Hoping to get the Cobra out soon - just so darn busy lately with life.
It happens, seems to come in waves for me. Hope to see you in July.
Very nice collection. Your hard hard has paid off, buddy. I'm glad to see you out enjoying them, foxes
I'm starting to get a bug to build an LS as they are so cheap to build but what would I put it in that's affordable 🤔
Thank You for the content you provide!! Enjoy this channel very much!! You have 2 beautiful rides!!!
Thanks, they are 20 footers but I love to drive them!
Love your shows. You should be darn proud of what you have done with Colypso. Sometimes I think people lose the idea of having fun with these cars.
I agree! I feel there can be pressure from others of the community to have to modify the cars a certain way with certain products. I say do what makes you happy. Not everyone wants or can afford $10,000 paint jobs or 351 swaps. You don't need either to have fun.
Good pair to have!
Dandy Fords!
Great video speaking truth. Two classic foxbodys sitting there.
With a LS Engine its nearly unbeatable as far as a hobbyist car goes at the local track
The 5.0 foxbody is the 57 chevy of our generation
I love your videos. Please keep doing them. You have the right approach to get them interested and not overwhelmed.
Thanks!
Looks great with the new stance. I love your videos.
Thanks and thanks!
It’s Kyle from the Denver airport (the kid from Iowa) Nice to meet you at the airport glad to see your arm is better!
Nice meeting you as well. Arm is coming along, just weak. Thanks
We are our worst critic.. Great job!! Looks amazing!! Coming along real nice!! Should do a side by side shot of before and after.
Great idea and thanks!
Looking nice, buddy. Calypso has come a long way.
Thanks, rebuilding the front suspension right now. I have to travel out of town for a week though so it's going to be a minute before that video is done. Can't wait to get it aligned. Saw you have a new video up. I'll check it out tonight!
@dadsfoxbodygarage Besafe, enjoy your trip
@@sinkorswimgarage Thanks, just saw your video. Motor sounds good. Cool test stand!
@dadsfoxbodygarage Thank you, sir
Lookin Good!
Excellent job
Thanks!
I'm happy to see that I'm not the only guy using spray cans to do a paint job our 80 black coupe was done with about 10 cans of Walmart spray paint at the time cost a dollar a can lol thanks for sharing your video
Sure! I have been going down the rabbit hole of rustolium paint jobs and then adding pearl to the clear coat. Amazing how they come out.
Nice job Rich. Rattle can paint sure has come a long way. I’ve used it as well along with some 2k clear with great results. I’m with you on not going for the show car paint - otherwise we tend not to drive them and what fun is that! By chance do you know where to score a solid hatch driver side door in the area? The project ‘91 GT could use one.
Right, I had an expensive paint job on my last project Porsche and it created anxiety. I may have a source for a door. I'll email you his contact info.
Awesome - thanks!
I worked for a older guy years ago in a mechanic shop and he also painted cars whether it eas collision work or someone wanting their car painted and one thing he said to me was You can't put on old paint!!!!!
Thanks for watching!
That paint job is amazing. You did excellent work! The color does need a couple dolphins on the side or something though. 😁
Or a purple splash or wave!
I miss my fox 🦊 I currently have a 94 GT and I just bought my youngest daughter her first car an 04 GT
I hear the 94's drive so much better than a fox. I would love to get a mustang for my 15 year old daughter but she has no interest in driving. I don't understand.
I updated all the suspension components on the 94 and lowered it a bit and it handles pretty good
@@Lui5_5.0 I know they are a fox chassis but I hear they are just a better driving car.
Looks awesome 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you!
Nice job. I miss my Mustang.
