Power for wood this early in the game is overpowered. Double stuff means you need less of it. Saving space, workforce and money. Could power soap and sell tons of it to Eli for insane money.

A warehouse with cattle in Dublin cannot work for goods as there is no demand in the city itself and the warehouse does not fulfil any demand in the city. You also look for demand in a city, i.e. cloth and see it is 16. The demand in the city is actually higher as you also distribute cloth to other cities. It Dublin case it did not matter as you only need to fulfil the Dublin demand. There are lots of tools in the game which you are not using that can help you with number of trains and congestion, but you obviously do not want to use them. Same applies to you express network. You can add a lot more trains to it without any impact on the service and even generate more money faster. Double lines with four platforms can easily handle up to 8 express trains, but again, you can manage that by using the tools and info the game provides. The difference in how we play is that I try get as high score as possible and you just want to finish the tasks. I have played this scenario many times with lots of permutations and found the most efficient to be with automatic trains and warehouses. I love the game and it is actually entertaining to see how other people play. Each has his own idea of how to play. Cannot wait for you to reach Scandinavia and take on that challenge. It is really tough.

Gridiron length works in pair. e.g. 1 = 2; 3=4, etc. So where you had three, a fourth track will be the same length

You have to build a straight track between London and Aberdeen, that is functional, to complete that task. You don't need a train on it. It must just be a working track and if you achieve, it is not easy, you will get it ticket off.

Build stuff you don't need at the time. Build house:) a bakery is worthless to you right now. You are on hard mode. Building things that you don't need will be deadly for you. Mrs. Hunt isn't going to like you.

Don't think your far lumber camp is going to reach the dock to work. On hard with mods AI grows instantly fast. Should be a fun watch:) They'll seemly have things before it seems even possible like now. They are like 50+ years or turns in front of you.

The gridirons become longer because the inside track is shorter around a curve and a train needs a longer distance to handle the curve when switching track

You use the hotel at a rural station if you want to use that station as the midpoint, i.e. one town connects to it and so does the other. They can then exchange passengers, but I don't like using it. There are players who only play that way. They set up a hotel and a warehouse to exchange both passengers and goods.

You should use your special buildings more often, especially when you need city growth. The Immigration office and Library really helps. In this scenario, if you want to finish the last NY task, you should stay on the challenge task, but instead of expanding everywhere else, build the connection to NY as soon as possible. Every time you wait for your other task, set up NY and let it grow. The easiest to get your items, is to let it grow enough so it requires and industry. You then add a steel mill. That gives you three items on its own, i.e. iron, coal and steel and the task becomes easy to complete.

When this is done will you play Anno 1800?

Concerning your Martian Seasons. I guess you will not get to enjoy them, because you've might set up your game settings incorrectly. I've just rewatched the first episode where you've set up your game and indeed, as I suspected you've put the setting for Assignment Time to "no Limit". This means the Summer Season will be endless on Mars and seasons won't change. What you can do to see the other ones is using the console to trigger them: 1. Press Shift+F1 to open the console. 2. Enter (without any typing errors, pay attention to upper and lower case!), replace "CurrentSeasonGUID" with the correct number from the table below: debug.startSectorEffect(CurrentSeasonGUID,19990093) 3. Press Enter 4. Trains slow down when they pass though supply towers. That is why you should not have too many of them too. I said before, check your distribution on your product tab to check demand, and then you can see if your train can meet the demand it is required to meet. That is why fruit is not delivered to Paris, as the closest cities will get served first and there is not enough "overflow" fruit to go to Paris

Hey, glad you made it this far into the mod! I hope you enjoyed my little Mars cutscene, the Devs left in for me to use ;) Synths are essentially a separate tier. They do not require any food or drink needs from the stage 1-4 but only those listed in the UI. But you can only upgrade 1/3 of your Investors to Synths. I wish you lots of fun with the mod, Mars is going to be another challenge to deal with. Just follow the main quest and read the descriptions there, it should be a good guidance to how Mars works.

The ! and the massive numbers of items in storage means that your frequency of clearing out the warehouse is not enough, i.e. you don't have enough trains to move the freight. The trains also have long routes with little freight and that is why some of them are running at a loss. The overhead of running the train is more than the income. You can either write that cost off against the city growth you getting, or changing the routes to shorter ones to make the trains profitable. Your big income comes from passengers and mail. You can increase most of those lines to two as there are a lot of passengers and mail waiting at your stations

On your train between New Orleans and Pensacola. It sees that New Orleans needs meat so it will take it up to the corn and back. What you need to do is to mark the train leaving Pensacola to the corn, leave with empty wagons and only pick it up on the way back

And another comment: The more shares you buy the more likely it will naturally be that they bid on your shares. To reduce the frequency with which they bid on your shares, you need to focus down one of them each time. Once you have completely bought them out, they cannot participate in the auction anymore, meaning: They cannot start bids on your shares.

The money is going down because maybe you own shares from a Big-5 guy who is currently in the negative with his/her balance. Also, I advise you to first get all your "un-owned" shares from your company to have maximum boost to your influence s.t. that you can basically always stop the biddings on your owned shares. It never makes sense to "re-buy" a share in the auction that you already own. Always cancel biddings on shares that you already own. Be it shares that originate from your company or from an NPC, which you own. Otherwhise, you will just bleed money for a share that you already own. And money loss hurts more in this minigame than influence loss because you will almost always have enough influence to cancel bids on your shares and thus have enough money to participate in auctions for shares that you don't already own. :D Ah, and for shares that have an initial bidding value of 1M+, you can use your influence to reduce the likelihood of the NPC bidding high numbers. Sometimes saves up to 4M.

Are you even looking at what the Labs need in the nexus? Their Greenhouse option is not fully fullfilled. So it might be an idea to put the green house right next to them?

Small hint for the stock market system: Don't bet everytime someone else bets. Only bet once the timer has gone down to like 2secoonds. Then AI is less speedy in betting on the auctioned chairs & with low cooldown is less likely to bet. Meaning: You get the shares for lower prices in the auction. Not always the case but often enough that it benefits you.

And if you don't like quests: Accept them and immediately decline them because in Anno 2205 there is no negative consequences to that. :D Like this you get new quests faster.

In terms of production: You want to completely fill the Tundra with as many workers & aerogel productions as possible to be able to provide the boost modules also in your other regions. :) I've gone through this game with record inhabitant numbers at that time (2019, I think it was) and I wished there was more Tundra Regions available. :D Also: I cheesed the world market. xD

Both Anno 1800 & This are about fine-tuning & optimization. And it all kind of started with 1404 with the Noria Exploits & the introduction of items. However, specifically how you play it, it always requires you to re-adjust the whole chain, which I personally find entertaining! It has a Factorio vibe to it. :D There is probably one mechanism or let's call it "way to play it", where you always immediately put modules with your production buildings. Such that for example, you will not be needing to adjust stuff for workforce later down the line. Yes, it costs money & ressources but if you put upkeep reduction modules for the more expensive buildings very early on, it will reflect in your credit balance later down the line such that you can basically not care about money in the slighest. Also: I really suggest you sell spare Oxygen Bottles regularly. By far the easiest money you can make via trade in this game.
