all your lovely blood and gore from episodes 1-6
0:48 "And you are going to bring him back to life are you? No? Good 👍🏾" WRECKED 😅
What happened to this being the only war that matters? Season 8 made it all about the Iron Throne. How did D&D forget the constant, overarching theme of their own show?
Jon snow straightened himself and took a long deep breath. Forgive me, Father. Robb, Arya, Bran ... forgive me, I cannot help you. He has the truth of it. This is my place. "I am ... yours, my lord. Your man. I swear it. I will not run again."
Its really sad how they dumbed down mormonts speech here, and propagated it throughout season 8
Seeing this and then looking. At season 8, i kinda wish the white walkers just straight up won. I think it'd be a fitting end simply having the humans fail to unite against a greater threat.
Damn the first four seasons were just TV at its absolute peak.
God's it was strong then!
These early season scenes make me so sad for tbe garbage that was served up later by arrogant entitled writers who gave up on quality for dollars.
"Is this a rethorical question?"
Common they just has to kill the server and all the nodes were down!!
"They killed my father-" "Oh & you're gonna bring him back to life are you? NO? Good! Fuck him!" XD
this show had so much foreshadowing lol 00:45
I wish i knew how loyal Mormonts are to Starks.
funny seeing comments for 7+ years ago. Seeing people's high hopes and excitment for the future of the show.
Bear Mormunt was one of my favorite characters
Jeor is such an awesome character. This actor portrays him so well. All of his scenes he steals the show.
1:16 that must’ve been horrifying
"I'll not sit meekly by and wait for the snows"
man the first seasons was the best the dialogs
That letter was clearly typed. Pretty evolved civilization back in Westeros
Ya. Why wouldn't they have typed books?
He would make an excellent Chaplain in the Space Marines
They should've included his lines about drinking lemon with beer and spice in wine was some southron herecy
"When dead men and worse come hunting for us in the night, do you think it matters who sits on the iron throne?" This right here is the main theme of Game of Thornes. The throne is not the end goal but the thing that distracts people from the real threat, and it really flew over DnD's heads.
War is coming my ass. An small skirmish in the north, dagger and over. As an conclusion, the commander of the nights watch was delusional, or the last seasons were bad, who knows......
If real 💩is dead, then ni99a I'm a bastard.
Goddamn them for what they did to this show.
Jeor's reasoning isn't very sound, because the right person sitting the throne was critical to surviving the winter. The Night's watch was a laughingstock by that point- a underfunded, barely-capable repository for the realm's criminals and disgraced noblemen. There's no way that bunch would have stood a chance against the Night King without support from the southerners- and Robb at least would have pledged his full support as king in the north.
Even called him Lord Snow 😂 The name Jon initially hated when Thorne used it
Gods the writing was good back then
That line “If we beheaded every man who ran from the Night, only ghosts would guard the wall.” It’s an interesting quote when you remember that the 3rd scene in the entire series was Ned executing a nights watch deserter. Really helps hammer in the idea that the nights watch isn’t the honorable institution that Jon thinks it is. Of course Jon already knew that at this point but it shows how deep the rot goes if the commander is treating desertion like skipping school.
He said "who ran away FOR the night". In other words, having cold feet but coming right back is fine to him. The guy at the beginning ran away with zero intention of coming back and was gone so long that they knew about it and Ned caught him.
Your Understanding of Honor is sorely Naive, Inverted actually. Honor comes from an Organization's Respect for it's Individuals, not soothing petty Insecurities of Commanders via gratuitous Death sentences. When Institutions continuously Fail to Respect the Divinity of Individuals then _Extrinsic Social Honor,_ and it's Value, plummet. Not the Inverse. Want Evidence? See Society. The loudest Judges keep the bench warmest.
Its so unfortunate that they ran out of books to make new episodes during the last season and a half.. This was the most epic fantasy series of all time until the very end.. Instead of forcing an ending they should have paused for a season then got with the author and hashed out an ending for the series that didn't conflict with the book he was currently writing. But nope they pissed him off and he refused to help and we got the bad got ending.....
gods the writing was good then
Sigh... fuck it. Ill just go watch the whole damn show again.
So sad that this show turned into a big steaming pile of bantha poodoo after season 4 (maybe 5)
I don’t know how deliberate or intentional it was but later seasons I got this feeling, a bit like irl, that all the grown ups were dead. The mormonts, maester luwin, Tywin, stannis and not just the characters but the old stage actors either gravitas and skill…and by then end it’s people who can’t act like kit and Emilia and people like Sam well, ayra and Sansa and bran running around being stupid
Mormont is an idiot if he thinks it doesn't matter who sits on the iron throne. Cersei who sat on the throne didn't even care to send a single men knowing the threat they face.
I am the king in the north and the rightful heir and king to the iron throne, the Andals, the first men and the Rhonar. The 997th lord commander of the bloody nights watch, the future king beyond the wall. I am all of it but………. she is mah queen and I don’t want it 😂😂
This is the kind of hype all we wanted of season 8 😢
This is prob my favorite scene in the first season
Amazing speech. These are the only guys carrying the real war on their shoulders. You got lords behind the wall sending men to butcher each other over chairs and pieces of dirt. But the Night's Watch, treated as the lowest of the low in Westerosian society, work as comrades with commanders they've chosen and trust. And they fight for the only cause truly worth fighting for, the survival of mankind itself.
After Martin writing, they two mad men have ruined the show in last three seasons
They really fucked up after the books stoped ..... they hyped up jon and the night king so much made him come back from the dead learns hes the heir of the throne frees the north hype up the big fight were he supposed to stab danerys which he dose but it was suppose to be during the long night after him stabing her his sword shoot up like a light on fire become stormbringer and slay the knight king and seat him self on the throne as being true heir of the 7 kingdoms no we get arya flying and danny burning down kinglanding him killing her and for him to end back at the wall i was so mad for 9 years waited for that epic moment no .....please god let winds of winter and dream of spring come out its been 10 fucking years this shit could of been done 4x over someone shoulf just throw martin in jail just so he can write them
It's crazy how many times Jon ends up going through this gate
why are all the Mormonts so fucking badass
This video’s hilarious
I love ham
The nights watch was NNN before NNN existed
I hope I live a normal life.
I just realised Jon started looking unattractive later on because he stopped smiling.
Jon looks nice without a beard.
