time has not been kind to these blokes.

For that price range, I really can't fault it. There's no laminate or plywood used in it at all, the back and sides and neck are solid mahogany, the top is spruce, fretboard and bridge are rosewood.

Does me, bro! ;-) It's actually really good for the money, solid back and sides so it has a nice tone. I much prefer it to the Martin 000x1e despite it being less than half the price.

Thanks ;-) Reliability, stability of tuning and intonation are all good on it. I've gigged quite lot with it and not had any problems although I would say that the sound from the pickup isn't that great. I had a quick look at the specs of the Taylor and it has a sapele neck as oppose to the stratabond neck on the Martin (which really doesn't age well). I reckon for me that might give the Taylor the edge.

Nice playing :) I'm hesitating between buying this Martin and a Taylor GS mini Mahogany + AER 15+ pickup/mic system. Any advice? Could You tell me more about this Martin? How about its reliability, stability of tuning and intonation?

@highcoffclife12 No, it was a lot lighter when it was new, the guitar would be about 4 years old when I did this clip and I've gigged with it quite a lot. There's no real finish on the top of the guitar (no varnish or anything), so it aged quite quickly. That's good if you want the guitar to look kinda road worn, the downside is that the HPL back and sides haven't aged at all, so there's a bit of a mismatch (although no one see's that when you're playing it.)

@bernardomarinho007 Thanks man! It's a nice guitar to play but with hindsight, I probably could have got something better for the money. Its got laminate back and sides and a stratabond neck but for the same money (600€ roughly), I could have got something with solid wood back, sides and neck. It is a nice guitar to play but a lot of the price is because it has Martin on the headstock. If you're thinking of buying a guitar in that price range, maybe worth looking at some other brands too.

Not quite true. He wouldn't play whole gigs standing up but he would play Sister Madly standing up almost every time this was played live. Also any time the band played an acoustic type show with minimal instruments, he would almost always play the entire set using his stand up kit (snare drum, small crash cymbal & brushes), stood up, in between Neil and Nick, So he absolutely could and did play standing up, no question there.

Paul would play a couple of songs standing up(more for visual effect than anything)but he couldn't/didn't only play standing up.

I'm a massive La's fan and a BIG fan oh Lee's songwriting but this performance and quite a few from the 2005 shows is pretty ragged.I can't understand why Lee insisted that the drummer played standing up?
