Loved this! Beautiful summary of what makes BINI so special. They are authentic, not fantasy, such a stark contrast with kpop. Kpop gatekeeps what goes on behind the scenes, but with BINI, the gates are wide open 😂.

Don't get me wrong, but Wish USA isn't as authentic as Wish Philippines on live performances. The over production on Bini's Salamin Salamin is so obvious imo. Not hating on Bini tho, they're great. Just listen to the performance mv of their song Blooming, where you can totally hear their raw vocals, or at least not as over produced like in Wish USA

I grew up with Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Boyz II Men, etc., and I always wondered, what if these vocal heavyweights was time-machine dropped in the era of autotune, would they have been as popular? A lot of Filipino artists tried to break through internationally heavily relying on their strong vocals, for example, Charice, but it was a challenge, because nobody appreciated strong vocals anymore. What appealed to the masses was catchy, autotuned music. But I feel like times are changing. People are finally getting sick and tired of “passable” vocals and artists that are strong vocally are a breath of fresh air. So BINI and other PPop groups that emphasize vocals are favored by the changing music climate. I also like what you said about “vocal balance”. It’s so important especially in a group that they are all synchronized, nobody overshadows any member, nobody is left behind, etc., because there are a few members that are strong in some areas, but what’s the point in showcasing a member’s prowess if other members gets left behind? They all need to move like a cohesive unit, that’s what makes the group work, so balance is key. But at the same time, a few imbalances are welcome. We can all appreciate the main vocalists of the group doing the belting parts, or the main dancer going all out during the dance break, but they all reconnect back into sync with the group and that moment of group harmony is so satisfying.

Love the video. Love your take on p-pop groups especially, BINI. Same here. I fell deep into the BINI rabbit hole with their BINI core/kulitan/funny moments (group or individual core). I've never been this big of a fan of any group or artists to the level of BINI. As in BINI stan talaga. Since I became a Bloom in February 2024, there hasn't been a day I didn't watch a BINI video on UA-cam (be it their own video, fancam, or vloggers reacting to BINI lol). More power to Sisne POP.

Im a PPop fan… these ppop groups have their own identity .. when u hear their songs, u can easily know it’s from them.. g22 (always aggressive approach, power vocals), dione (sassy), kaia( power vocals but mild approach), Bini ( always mild approach, easy to digest) They have their own strengths
