I'll start by saying this is NOT intended as nit-picking criticism. Eric has been the true greatest guitarist in the entire world for decades and still is. NO ONE EVEN COMES CLOSE. I have been a lead guitarist for 52 years and made my living at it for several of those years yet I still couldn't even come remotely close to his skills. After watching this performance I'm not even thinking about his playing. I'm deeply concerned about him on a personal level. I've never seen him like this. I just cant help but believe there's something wrong. I sincerily pray I'm wrong. The world of music needs Eric.

We are privileged to get to see him playing live at 70 and still rocking. Managed to listen to G3 pre performance talk and loved their stories and tips for the young guitarists asking. They showed great empathy for the young guitarists in the theater (Fox Oakland..I was working in the balcony). Thanks guys!

I don't understand why these guitar giants aren't able to finally create something new. The same songs over and over again! No development, no musical progress! It seems as if they are doomed to play the same stuff their whole lives just because the fans don't know anything else! And in the very end they will only play on music shows with playbacks... so sad!

Not everyday can be perfect, hes still one of the best in the world.

Not as polished sounding as most I’ve heard from him through time, but that leaves us with him probably casting aside perfection and getting a little wilder and playing some very inspiring music nonetheless. Physicality changes with age of course if that might factor. It’s like he had four beers but it’s still EJ. I wouldn’t show this to someone I was trying to introduce his music to, but if I wanted to cop some of his technique or conceptualization of music, this is amazing. I wonder if EJ himself was feeling it or not as much. Maybe he’s gotten to the point of mostly enjoying just playing and if he gets in the zone or phlow, great. This totally has that beautiful violin smooth roar lead tone, bet the soundboard recording captured it nicely.

Horn was actually a full member of Yes for one album, Drama in 1980. The other half of The Buggles, Geoff Downes also participated on the album too before leaving to start his own band Asia which also featured members of Yes. Downes still performs with Yes to this day while Horn performs solo as The Buggles along with producing just about every hit act in the universe.
