EASY #Outdoor Screen Setup for the #Nebula #Mars3
Переглядів 482 місяці тому
I recently purchased the screen linked below, but struggled to find the best place to set it up outdoors without a good stand. Our property has some slope to it, and I wanted to set everything up away from the pool. Luckily, I have a wooden fence, and with a few cheap Q hooks, setting this up and taking it down is simple! How long did it realistically take for you to get the whole taco folding thing down so it conforms as a circle? This net appears like it could be the near perfect solution for a golf sim in my garage but I would need to take it down after every use due to cars that need to park there. I once had a green screen with the same kind of design and I never could get the folding thing down - hopefully this is easier. One other question... I could probably store the screen behind my fridge since this lays pretty flat rather than getting it to fold down in a circle. If you don't take the top wedge bar out, would it still lay fairly flat minus the pole sticking out the sides? Just wondering if this would be an option because that would mean breaking it down could be under a min to do.
Regarding the first question, my whole garage teardown is probably like 15 minutes, but that is EVERYTHING. This net is less than 5 minutes. It is really pretty easy. For the second question, mine is folded in the bag hanging on a ladder hook near the ground. The hook just keeps it standing vertical. Then I park my car next to it. It will lay flat on the floor, but standing up? I would say probably flat-ish... Check out some of my other videos to see it in action in the garage.
Hey Matt, quick question....it sets itself on cleaning pattern in your pool, if I can manually run it and MOVE the unit to the other end of pool, before I start, will it go on a different pattern? Thank you in advance
Honestly it seems to use a different pattern each time I put it in. I don't really think about where I put it in, and it does a great job of cleaning the pool. Exceptions would be behind ladders and on steps. I use a brush for that before I put the robot in.
Thumbs up to Chelsea FC fan! 😂
Thanks!
How are the Titan pads a year later? I'm debated between these and the Rogue.
Love the E6 content... The white tees tho?? You hit that driver too far to be playing the white tees
OK, I'll try to make some more of these. I agree, need to move back. I made a few changes and am hitting the ball further now.
cool, Nice Job.
Exactly what I’m looking to make myself, thanks!
I use the T-3 spotter arms for Titan's independent squat rack and they're excellent. As long as you gently rest or "control-crash" the bar onto them there's no problem at all - even with the independent squat stands.
And here I thought those were 1,2,3 hours. 😂. I came home yesterday and it was moving around on a cycle. I hadn’t pulled it out from the last time. Usually I take it out after every cleaning. This time I left it on the step.
Thanks for the help!
I used to live in Keystone and had to make this drive alllllll the time, it's a little nerve wracking but it's so beautiful it doesn't get more picturesque
On the power supply, What are the 1 2 3 lights for. Some models use those for setting vacuum 1 for once a week auto clean and 2 for twice a week etc. I thought they were for the number of Hours thay you want the vacuum to run?. Can you help?
@geob8453 it's a daily interval between runs...
Will this fit in the rogue independent squat stand ?
I would say probably but you should double check measurements. I don't see why it wouldn't fit a 2x3 rack, stand, or independent stand.
Does having no light affect the readings?
No. Radar is unaffected by light... no worries there.
Nice this helped with my purchase
Glad I could help
Turn your jets in your pool upward to have a better ripple effect for your pool
Whats the distance from the back of the next to the net/screen? Trying to see if i have enough room between the screen and tee (8’)
8.5 feet from mat to screen/net...
That’s a sweet set up especially with the handles on front for easy carry away when done. I’ll be making this DIY too. Thank you
Thank you for sharing your honest review, Matt! We're thrilled to hear it's met your expectations. We hope you enjoy your POLYWOOD for many years to come.
Hello, I have the T-3 Series Short Squat Stand. Will that bar fir this model?
That is what I have as well, so you shouldn't have any issues.
Nice one! Thanks for sharing
Thanks!
Hello, we are Galileo sports, a well-known brand of golf net. We like your video very much. May I ask if we can send you a golf net of our home? Can you shoot a video and send it to UA-cam? We are very willing to cooperate with you
How much is it
Has barbell jack but needs his heels chocked up. Ffs be a man and squat without them, I'm betting you don't need them, if a 50 yr old with type one diabetes can front squat and back squat without their heels chocked up I'm betting you can also. Men are so lazy now, im betting you have zero problems with ankle or hip mobility? On another note thanks for the vid, many props to you good Sir.
LOL OK buddy....
I can do the same thing. But I’ve never hated wind so much as I do now!!
Yeah that and awkward stances...
Hi I am just getting into Zwift with a C6, same as a ic4. I enjoyed your post. Is it still being used? I am finding some differences in odometer readings between Zwift and bike Do you still recommend Zwift? Do you have any other suggestions? On uses. I am in my late 50’s and haven’t been on a bike for about 15 years. Thanks
I use it with an iPad now. You'll see odometer difference because zwift simulates hills that your bike odometer doesn't know about.
Thanks so much for the reply.
Thanks for the video. I just got mine today. Really struggled folding up back up. I did managed to get it wrapped up following the instructions which aren't very clear. This video did the trick. Thanks.
Thanks for the feedback!
Do you need to be connected to WiFi on Tablet to play courses or can you download them and play offline?
I am pretty sure Garmin Home Tee Hero requires an internet connection while playing. I think you can play E6 offline if you have downloaded the course and your device is logged in. If you arrive somewhere and it has logged out, you will have to get a connection again to log in. I'm not 100% sure on the E6 offline capability as I'm usually connected to wifi.
Mine is arriving tomorrow, how do you like it so far? Im also getting the heat deflector
Can you project this to a projector?
You definitely can. I just run an HDMI cable to my iPad and connect it with an adapter.
A lot of times I don't do that, however, as it is extra steps and I just want to play.
Is there any slope to your backyard from the garmin to the hitting mat? Do you need to have a level yard for this setup? My yard slightly slopes and isn’t perfectly flat
Outside there is some slope, but it needs to be pretty flat where your feet and hitting area is.
@@mattgross76 it’s relatively flat, I’m just curious if where the garmin is setup needs to be the same level as where the mat is
@@alexjones-akjNo, it doesn't. My Garmin is above the hitting mat in all of my setups. I'd say anywhere from 4-6 inches. When I go outside, I put the R10 on top of a tool box for example.
🙋 *Promo SM*
how many?
There are 2 in our pool...
What is the length and width of your pool overall?
It broke down and ripped in 8 months. No warranty coverage. Save your money.
I still use mine all the time and have no issues. Where did yours rip out of curiosity?
Good video thanks.👍
Good for you man
Can i play multiplayer locally? I mean one device, one account and two played switching turns to play one after the other
Definitely. Just log in as one of the players, and then add guests. I think you can have a foursome locally...
Do you have the plans for this? I want to build almost the exact same thing. Just got the titan crash pads
There weren't really big plans. The crash pads are 6 inches high, and I think the titan rubber pads on top are 1.6 inches or so. So I basically bought plywood and screwed it all together from opposite ends. It's really heavy, so then I attached the wheel and handle mechanism. I'm no handy man, but if I did it all over again, I probably would put 2x4 in the center and some other places for stability and only have plywood on the top and bottom. I think that would make it ligher while preserving the stability.
Do you ever have issues with short wedge shots going over the net?
No, that did happen once when I first got the Garmin when I was trying to maximize distance between the net and the ball. Now I just use a consistent 8'6'' from the net and never have that issue.
Nice review thanks. When loading plates with the pads, do you prefer using the wedges or the jack?
For regular deadlifts I prefer the jack, but when just using the pads for block pulls, the wedges work better. I hope that helps.
Many thanks @@mattgross76
@@nordicwilly6650 No problem let me know if you have any other questions...
Pretty big net. Just bought a sp7 now not sure if that is going to be big enough might have to return for the spg8.
Thank you for this video. Helping me out with which model I'm going to get.
My setup is still going strong. Use it a ton!
How tall is your garage?
A bit more than 9 feet...
Has the outside color became discolored? Thinking about getting the black but wasn't sure if the color fades after using it for a while.
No, but to be honest we haven't used it much yet.
E6 is not free on the Garmin R10
There ARE 5 free courses that come with launch monitors on IOS devices.
@@mattgross76and they are great courses too! Best driving range as well.
But you can't peoject it
@@nitoy99caYou definitely can. You just have to connect your device to a projector.
Just ordered this exact squat stand. Was wondering if you could do Incline Bench press on this Squat stand without the Bench interfering with the back floor crossmember? Not sure if you know the answer to this or not but thought id ask!
I'm not sure but suspect it won't be a problem. I don't have an incline bench so I can't test it.
@@mattgross76 appreciate the reply! No problem. Judging from your videos it looks like I should have room to Incline bench in the squat stand without a problem. Your Squat stand barely moves! Hopefully I can get the same sturdiness out of mine - I squat above 400lbs, What is the most weight you've had on the rack and was it pretty sturdy?
@@theblestone8053I suspect it will work too. I did squats today and thought an incline bench would fit. I'm not as strong as you, but I've had 315 LBS in there for some walkouts and everything seemed fine.
Nice video. I'm not understanding the user and guest user setup with E6 Connect. I have a user but in the app appears I need to create a guest user for myslef. I'm not sure if stats get saved under guests
If you have a user, you should see a way to login. Then you can add that logged in user to a round or driving range session.
Guest data isn't stored based on what I've seen.
do a vid on the star wars collection next
Which "controllable" device is Zwift conmecting to on the device-pairing screen?
It's just the Schwinn IC4... Nothing else...
How are the Titan crash pads holding up?
Great. No issues. I use them once a week for deadlifts and they are just as solid as the day I bought them.
@@mattgross76 Awesome, thanks!!
