Scribe is an action, adventure, and exploration RPG game created by a two-person team. It features mechanics such as branched dialogues, quests, combat, crafting, stealth, archery, magic, and more, all presented in handmade pixel art graphics. Players take on the role of a rogue Scribe on a quest to rediscover the true history of the Continent, a place where studying or even preserving pieces of true history results in the death penalty.

Simple stealth mechanic showcase. The progress bar shows how long you can stay in stealth until your cover breaks. You can reload this bar by interacting with any other stealth object. This way, you can chain your stealthy progress through the dungeons. Nitpicking time: Is there a reason that the fisherman npc has a black outline? It seems a bit out of place since it stands out quite a lot on the screen, but maybe that was the purpose. Anyway, game looks awesome and I cannot wait to try out the demo!
Thank you for nitpicking. We are experimenting with character outlines, and the Fisherman was the unlucky one selected for this drastic experiment. Shame on us! :)
Nevím jestli je cílem ukázat toho víc, ale přijde mi že den a noc se mění trošku až moc rychle. Je to takový zvláštní, když se začne konverzace brzy zrána a zakončí se k večeru

Dnes jsem se o vaší hře dozvěděl z rozhovoru od Dana Vávry. Vytrvejte. Zatím se o ni neví, ale jednou se o ní bude vyprávět :-)

Hra mě zaujala z hlediska gameplaye (plošinovka zkřížená s point-and-click je přesně něco pro mě), líbí se mi moc art style a celkem originální je myslim i děj, ale je podle mě škoda, že jste si vybrali hrozně generickej fantasy setting. Myslim si, že to může být jeden z důvodů, proč vaše Kickstarter kampaň nezaujala tolik lidí. Po třech letech vývoje se s tim teda bohužel už nic dělat nedá. Každopádně pokud se vám podaří hru vydat, tak já si jí rád koupim i tak, ale myslim si, že byste udělali mnohem líp, když byste to postavili třeba na slovenskym folklóru. Nebo jsem například dodneška neviděl nic moc z nějakýho africkýho settingu (znám jen fantasy knížku Rage of Dragons). Nebo třeba takový Blasphemous je za mě skvělý v tom, jak moc je to očividně inspirovaný španělskym katolictvím (jinak by mě to vůbec nezaujalo). Chtělo by to za mě prostě něco víc unikátního co se týče toho settingu, protože hra ve stylu D&D fantasy podle mě už dneska moc lidí nezaujme a naopak spíš zapadne mezi spoustou ostatních her.

Ty brdo! Tak to vypada fakt dokonale. Nadhera! Ale ted uprimne, je to pro tu hru dulezita ficura? Neco podobneho ma Kingdom: Classic (i kdyz ne tak propracovany). Je to hezky ale po par hodinach hrani to clovek uz ani nevnima. Tak pokud to tam opravdu musi byt, tak alespon neudelejte stejnou chybu jako v Kingdom Come: Deliverance... za deste hmyz nelita!!! 😀

I dont have the payment method using which i could fund the Kickstarter but you actually broke the myth that if a game is good it will get funded 100% but it seems your project is an anomaly. I would buy this straight away if i were to get this on steam but i guess that will only happen as soon as possible if we are able to show trust in you guys through our support. I would suggest you to contact Lost Relic Games because he anaylses failed Kickstarter campigns and tells what went wrong and i really hope that draws some attention to you guys.

This is an awesome stealth mechanics! I love it. One question: if the kickstarter project flops, would you consider selling the "In Dev" version to get the money for supporting further development? I can't wait to play the demo :)

@ruolbu not necessarily. Some indie studios ask their fans to do the voice acting, and it can still sound professional. Also, there is AI, although I think the game would lose some charm.
For now voice acting have a lowest possible priority in terms of content. But definitely it would be nice to have it ... no doubt.
So new, original and nostalgic at the same time. You should try another kickstarter closer to release, I would back you again.

Zdar. Pokud jste opravdu delali s Vavrou na hrach, zkuste ho ukecat aby na vas dal link na jeho socialnich sitich. Ten ma mnohem vic sledovatelu, Urcite to bude mit vetsi dosah a lip cilenej nez jeden clanek na iDnesu kde reagovalo 6 lidi a na dalsich dvou neznamejch serverech.... 100 subscribers tady a celkove 300 backers na kickstarteru (jsem jednim z nich) je mizernej vysledek a vy porebujete poradnej boost!
Dan to zdilel prvy den na vsech sockach. Hold nas projekt asi nepritahuje tolik lidi jak by potreboval. My to respektujeme, poucime se z toho a deme dal.

Is the game compatible with mac M1 platform ?
Development is currently done on Windows. And we forgot to consider Mac :). If we ever get to the point of porting to different platforms, unless there would be a technical issue somewhere, there is no reason why a Mac port would not be possible.
